Here it is boys, the answer to the almighty question, Tubi or Capristo? We got three 99 Modenas together one with a stock muffler (Grigio), one with a Tubi (Rosso), and one with a Capristo level 2 (Giallo). We revved them up the same while they were parked and did the same shift on the drive by. Needless to say my car (Giallo) will be getting a Tubi installed by Rifledriver ASAP after this experiment.

    Enjoy!

They sound better in person - :D

I am biased of course - The TUBI sounds so pure!!!

The Capristo sounds like a rag is stuffed in the pipes.

I'm glad you got it together Colby. John's Grigio car sounds great on the bypass.

The Tubi has more resonance when idling, Capristo sounds more like a race-car to me. I love the pops and bangs!
They make the stock exhaust sound so tinny! I'd prefer the Stradale exhaust to any of these though.

That Capristo exhaust sounds much more like a competition car to me. I wonder how much louder the level 3 is?

I like the Tubi, but it's probably because that's what I have. The Capristo and Tubi both sound great, just different.

I like the Tubi. I have a Tubi on mine. The Capristo does sound awsome on a drive by but too annoying for weekend or even daily driving. So Tubi it iz.

Now let's do a vote to see which car color looks best/aggressive driving by.

I'm on the fence here but I like them all!

Clearly, the stock is an insult to the car.

The Tubi and Capristo unleash the music. And though I favor the Tubi slightly, I would probably have one car with a Tubi and another with a Capristo.

The Tubi is broader and deeper as well as high and raw. The Capristo is not quite as broad and deep but is sharper, harder and higher.

This is a must listen for anyone who owns or plans to own a 360, especially those who still have the stock exhaust.

Great thread! The only piece I would add to the video is hearing each car downshift and accelerate. That is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.

    Many thanks,

    Cavallini

Glad I went with the Tubi, but no question the Capristo sounds excellent as well.

This side by side really proves it comes down to personal taste, and also confirms that either exhaust system is a major step up from the stock system.

Thanks so much for going to the effort to provide this demo.

I think it's interesting to note the sound of a 'free rev' vs. the sound of the exhaust 'under load'.

I think the Tubi sounds better at free Rev by far. But the Capristo sounds a bit more 'interesting' under load. Tubi sounded good in both free rev and drive by and a bit more refined, esp. free-rev'ing.

The Capristo sounded a bit better on the fly-by than the Tubi.

Sometimes a cold exhaust affects the sound too.
Was the Capristo exhaust/engine temp colder for the free-rev?

    The 360's sound great overall.
Hard to go wrong with these. :)

All of the cars were driven the same distance to where we shot the clip so they were all at the same temp. We tried our best to keep all the variables the same for proper evaluation. To be fair, there was some wind noise on the Tubi drive by, so it may not have had a fair shot in that respect. I would do this again with a shift down and acceleration run, but my car has been changed to a Tubi already, so I no longer have a Capristo to record. By the way the Capristo is for sale, if anyone is interested PM me.
