What looks better - F430 or Gallardo?

F430, great pictures!

 

430 by far.

I respect the Gallardo tho.

 

The Lambo looks short and stubby.

I would prefer to own a 430 but I love the look of the Gallardo. It is my favorite Lambo and a great car.

 

The Lambo design 'flows' much better IMHO. The 430 seems somewhat unresolved, and in spyder form, is not as good looking as the 360. Regardless, to each his own....looks are subjective, and no opinion carries more weight than any other...

 

When it was only pictures in a magazine the Gallardo looked fresh and fantastic, but walking around one they are, as you say, "short and stubby", and chunky and odd, and the rear is a just a confused hodgepdge of sophomoric cliches.

The 430 wins this one, but having said that; the lights (f & r) are a huge step backwards, and the rear flanks are as ungainly as the Gallardo rear is confused.

 

430 isnt even close. Gallardo all the way.

 

I'm a little split here.

The 430 has those huge arched side vents which I dont really care for, but dont hate them.

The Gallardo has a very sharp line, which I really like.

I think I choose 430 by perosnal preference.

 

For exterior looks, its a solid tie. There are things I like/dislike on each car.

 

Without doubt Lambo has the better wheel design (..and let's not even mention the new F599 wheel...!).


ps. compare the size of the front brake calipers on each car...

 

Coupe vs. spyder...not a fair comparison in my eyes.

 

In Nero and Pearl, the Gallardo. In Argento and TDF, it's a tie. And in every other color, except those crazy, flourescent Lamborghini colors which no car should have, the 430 by a nose.

Both are true to their marquee, especially Lambo's identity since the Countach. The 430 is difficult to judge conclusively because it's shape is more three dimensional and therefore much cannot be properly seen in photos which are two-dimensional.

unfortunately, this is tougher then it should have to be. a decade ago it would be ferrari, hands down. today ferrari is building their most technically advanced road cars ever. their F1 imput makes these truely great driving cars. however, the folks at pinnin farina appear to be on a different page.

the f430 is attractive in darker colours (nero, silverstone) the lamborghini looks very attractive in all colours (except those bizzare ones) i can't recall a time ever when ferrari's didn't look best in red, until now. the 612's only good colour is nero, as it helps minimize it's girth. the 599gts has yet to be seen in person.

i'm rambelling, but again, it's disconcerning that i even have to think about the answer.

mhh,love your lambo brother,but id have to say YSS's 430 does it for me. Scuds more so,cause i like the coupes

 

430 just look so sexy---the Lambo looks more of a spaceship, not a bad thing. I think the Ferrari just has more style. The Lambo gets old after looking at it for a few minutes..

 

I hate to admit it...

but I think the Gallardo is more attractive.

When I was trying to decide between the two, I saw both in red parked side by side at a local dealer. The Gallardo really looked hot..and the 430 didnt. Amoung many issues....the 430 sat too high (US ride height I guess).

But as Ive posted..I think driving gallardo was a hugh disappointment (compared to a CS)

 

The F430 looks better. The Gallardo is too futuristic and angular. Curves look better than straight lines.

 

Based on looks alone, I hate to admit it but the Gallardo looks more resolved. I do like the way the Lambo looks from just about any angle.

Now, as with any pretty young thing, one's perception changes after one discovers the personality under the skin ... and it all depends if that personality matches yours in order for you to fall in love with one, or the other. I hope to have this problem soon
