    I just read in a magazine recently (can't remember which one) about a group of car lovers that get together once a month in southern CA for a Saturday breakfast and an inpromptu car show. It's really turned into quite a large event that draws people from all over the area with all different types of cars, from exotics to rods. Just a good reason, no pressure way to get a bunch of great cars together once a month.

    Has anyone ever tried something like that in Colorado?

    Well in SOCAL that would be Crystal Cove (CC) i....
    and they get together EVERY Saterday...

    Never heard of anything in Denver or area...

    In SOCAL, that could also be up in Palos Verdes. There is a small deli on the west end of the Penninsula where 5-10 Ferrari owners(including myself when we lived out there) meet on Sundays to shoot the breeze.

    Well I see 177 views and 10 post, would anyone like to pick a date? How about April 29, South meets at FOD and the North will meet in Fort Collins at at 1-25/Horsetooth and head South to Mimi's Cafe 8am for breakfast.

    Sunday's work too if we make a change. We should probably include other car types if everyone think it makes sense. There's some incredible cars in Denver if we can get them to come out. I'd love to see some old Mercedes, Porsche's, etc. join us.

    To make it easier, why not just make it the last Saturday (or Sunday) of every month and then everyone can mark their calenders in advance. Mimi's does have a nice lot, easy access and lots to do in the area.

    Mike, is there anyway that a Saturday could work for you?

    Not to nitpick this but I usually have to travel for work the last weekend of the month. I know that I'll be gone this next weekend and the same at the end of April. It's usually how it work out. Maybe we can do the third week of the month?


    **EDIT** If the weather is good for Sunday, and the snow is melted, does anyone want to try a trial run this Sunday?

    Most likely not. There is always a small chance for that WAY in the future, but for now, new work schedule has me on every Saturday. The only reason why I was not working last Saturday (Winterfest) is that it was part of the deal with my starting when I did.

    Sundays are clear 100% of the time (unless one of my kids gets a soccer game rescheduled, thanks Travel Soccer).

    When I do make the drive up I may not always be in the F-Car due to the mileage. It is just over 100 miles from my place to FoD. If I'm not in the F-Car I would most likely drive the Speedster that I brought to PPIR "Last Lap" as I do not care about the miles it logs, as that is why I bought it :)

    Here's an idea that I hope everyone likes.

    I met with Matt this morning at Paragon Motorcars and told him about our idea. He volunteered to host it, serve some light breakfast and make it a great social event (racing movies on the big screen, etc.). He even threw out the idea of having some small clinics maybe on detailing, etc. if it takes off. The target would be the first Saturday of every month at 9AM at Paragon. We're targeting the first one for May 6th at 9AM.

    It would be open to all exotics, special interest or just plain great cars and those people that love them. Please reply if you plan to attend so he has an idea of how many people are coming.

    I should have also added that this is intended to be a bit of a car show as well. We're trying to get word out to all the local car clubs so please help spread the word.
