who here understands the point of it? everytime a conversation starts up around the office about "gaining" an hour (and all the associated second-guess math) i feel like i get dumber just for hearing it. for me all it does is make me either late or early for something twice a year as i can guarantee that no matter how dull my life is, there will be something i'm supposed to do on the morning it changes over. oh, that and because i werk with gps i have to keep track of it so that our data is in synch, and there's always problems around the changeover time that need manual labour. i made a comment that it's made by idiots for idiots, wasn't well recieved as one guy piped up saying "well arsehole i personally like getting home from werk and having more daylight to spend with my kids", so i suggested why don't we just leave the clock forward? i dunno, i guess when it's daylight savings time it won't feel like you're getting any extra daylight. wtf </rant> ps. because our office-clocks are set by satellite, they're all wrong because of the commonpoverty games.
it needs to be stopped. all that extra sunlight is fading my curtains. more to the point, why is SA still 1/2 hour behind (but 5 years ahead ) of VIC/NSW?
I'm with Ash. Pick a timezone and stick to it. Like we did in WA, and like we continue to do whenever they have a referendum about it
Don't get me started on that kind of timezone... those bastards are the reason I got such a terrible TEE score
I never got into it, went last night for the first time in ages because it just happened to be across the road from where we were sitting having coffee.
don't have them here anymore, just pokies. i remember all-night lock-ins, they were great. me and my mate hogged final lap and hard drivin for the night.
i worked for Timezone for a couple of years, talk about slave labour. i cant see why theres any left at all (i know most of them closed for various reasons), but why pump your coins into a machine when your Xbox or PS is such a better alternative these days?
yeah we pretty much stopped going to arcades when we got NBA Jam on the SNES. only arcade i've played since was Sega Rally and F355 Challenge.
speaking of 150 years old, how about a belated birthdya coffee and lunch tomorrow, we could con Scott into coming and paying for us all ?
