    Give the guy a break!!!

Do you mean an '02 360? Or an '03 CS?

FYI there is no such car as a 360cs and the first CSs were delivered in Europe on/around aug 1st 2003

    everyone deserves a break,

and we deserve him doing a search, and reading the many threads [once he decides if it's a CS or a 360 he wants] and then asking a question!

CS prices are all over the map depending upon condition, stories, location, age, miles, seller, buyer and so on and so forth. there are storied cars around in the mid-high 180s. top cars are still changing hands in the low two-teens. ignoring the ends of the bell curve, most transactions seem to be happening in the mid 190s to mid 200s.

though i don't claim to be a complete repository of data, so do do your own research.

whether or not the CS can be used as a daily driver is entirely your call. i'd vote yes, for sure, but that's just my opinion - worth well less than you paid for it ;-).

good luck with your research and search. the archives are chock full of objective and subjective data on the CS (search for "stradale" as the search engine barfs on "CS").

doody's car is perfect and available $$$$dealer$$$$ priced at FoNE!

If you get serious i'll clue you in to the story cars i ran into when i bought my second strad last month:
    -ferris bueller stolen car
    - "it's absolutley perfect with 600 miles" painted twice car with miles
    - "i dont think this one's for you" painted and smacked, door sticker missing 900 mile car with 1400 actual.
    - smacked, spun and stuffed on the way to the dealer: some people may get in trouble using Race mode on cold or wet roads...

there's also some well known roach coaches cooling their heels at certain dealers.... to be avoided.

and even some decent deals on perfect lovingly maintained. KEY FACT: BEST DEALS HAVE MILES ON THEM AND strads ARE BULLETPROOF....

And they're prefect for daily use, at least for me.

It's your call on the usage of the CS.

I am in Thailand, and it's not very well suit for daily use here. Air con can't keep up with the heat (don't forget that it has no carpet, heat transfer from aluminum is really hurting the air con). Rough ride is not a problem, but road noise is....especially when my CS comes with lexan racing window. Wind noise at speed above 80 mph is unbelievably loud.

Carbon interior is easily scratched, take good care of it. Alcantara seats are pain to take care of, I got mine a bit stained the other day, and have no idea how to get it off...gotta ask the specialist. Never, never, and never let go of the seat belt after you un-belt or it will fling itself and hit the carbon door panel.

Other than that....drive the heck out of it, please.

Sure there is. The 360 Challenge Stradale. Isn't that why the cover story of FORZA #63 refers to the CS as "the ultimate 360?"

What's the story on Doody's CS. Sat in it today and loved it, but didn't wanna cause a scene till I did some research myself. Car was in great shape. What's the mileage etc?

The car on the cover is my car, as is the layout in the subsequent story in Forza. I never refer to it as a 360, but the writer, Winston Goodfellow, did. To me it's a street racer that is more enjoyable than any daily driver could possibly be.

Carbon interior should not scratch at all as it is varnished. Use a little polish and all marks come out.

Re Alcantara: got black something all over my seat: no problemo! Used a french product called "eau ecarlate" which is dry cleaning fluid with a clean rag and in 30 seconds all was brand new. Alcantara is actually NOT at all fragile and can withstand massive abuse.

Get a car with factory fitted harnesses

The car is bullet proof - drive it long and hard. Better a car with some miles than the opposite

chal have you left a deposit for the 430CS? I have and will get the first in australia if and when they make it although it will be a good 6 to 12 months after euro/US release.

OK, not trying to be nitpicky here, but why did you just refer to the new CS as a 430CS? So the "360" version is just Challenge Stradale, but the 430 version will be 430CS?

if i'd of just said the new challenge stradale, people might of got confused so i put 430 in front as it will be derived from the 430. they may call it something other than CS but i doubt it. once it's out then 430 will not need to be used.

    rock on

Right now no decision has been taken for a CS version of the 430. Firstly, there are apparently a number of "issues" with the e diff on the Challenge car(keeps breaking...)

Secondly, doubt any decision will be taken until at the earliest the end of the 2nd year of the Chalenge series

Thirdly, it is becoming more and more difficult to homologate "extreme" cars, thereby putting a CS version in doubt

BUT, if there is one.....I'll have one! I just won't put money down w/out knowing. Anycase, in France they would not take a deposit on a non existant car or project

Thanks for the tip, will see if that eau ecarlate thing is avialable here or not. I also thought that carbon is easily scratched, so I have been super careful about touching it.

Drove the car back from Bangkok lastnight with a bit of rain...massive fun!! I practically shook the restaurant when I started the car up right in front of the door.
