02 575 on Ebay for 88K

i think CNC is on here. not sure if they are sponsors but they post ads in the for sale area. looks like a nice car. what does the carfax have on it ? if it's clean i'd take a stab and get it inspected. likely repainted to a higher standard than factory paint.

 

As long as the repair was done correctly and the unibody/frame isn't bent, then it should be fine. Do you know who did the repair? It looks like the car has the GTC exhaust (nice) and 19" modular wheels (nice too). I prefer the 550/575 in any other color than black.

 

Seems like a good deal if it is accurately presented.

Black/Tan looks good.

if someone has put an eyeball on it, i'd like to hear about it.

if it was some sort of minor dent, only problem i can foresee is that the repair paint was done to a higher standard than the factories effort.

Ha!...Perish the thought. Given the drop in 575 prices, the price delta probably doesn't merit the hassle/expense/risk of doing it. I'd better just keep looking for that nice gated 575 out there that has my name on it. [Are you listening Gary? hehehe]

Not to mention, I wouldn't want to get burned at the stake in 10-15 years by a band of pitchfork-wielding Ferrari purists. Those folks that back in the '70s and '80s thought cutting a perfectly nice Daytona coupe into a Spyder might be a neat thing to do are now vilified by the Gerald Roush wing of the party.

It's waiting for you in air conditioned splendor in Florida but you better hurry before I get back from Santa Fe in October and get rid of the R8 !! You will enjoy years of driving pleasure long after the price is forgotten. Talk to Tommy Hassel , he knows my bottom line.

 

Ketel- Gary's and my 575Ms were parked side by side recently and I can vouch for the fact it is pretty much perfect. Plus, it is so late a model, 141041, it has had all the updates including HGTC shocks. It is also compatible with all the HGTC ECUs for future upgrades. Since it is FHP equipped, it already has the HGTC springs and rear anti-roll bar.

Will be difficult to find another one like this. Just make the leap and buy it. You will be very happy you did.
