Shouldn't you read those codes first and see what is wrong with the car, before you reset them?

You can easily reset the CEL via any generic OBD II reader. If the errors are not engine related (gearbox, airbags, etc) then you need an SD2 or SD3 (or compatible) device from a dealer or Maserati specialist. Since the OBD reader won't be able to read those error codes.

There are various known issues with the soft top of the Spyder, usually there are some worn parts from the hydraulic system or the system needs readjusting/recalibration.

Most Maserati dealers (and independent Maserati specialists) should know how to diagnose and fix the problem.

been there, done that. cincinnati dealer tried to sell me a new top for 26,000! i said, 'listen u i am in the same business, now be real'. cost was 360. this is every time. to the point of taking the car to auction. did not bring be but 14,000. car back home where it belongs. had 550 to chicago dealer for 7mo. and they never found the start/not start problem$$$$. hauled it home as well. OK found the start problem, key fob had a small crack and must have shorted part of circuit. so the help problem still exist.

Sorry to say this but while English is a third language to me, I honestly don't understand what you are talking about.

You mentioned that the problem is in the soft top and now you mention that the car had a starting problem?

bought an exact car that had been, until recently a garage queen. hit something hard on left front and set off all four air bags. 7,100 miles. all looks new. plan to fix the wreck with parts from my current car. top look new, interior spotless, chrome finish not flaking off vents. leather not cracked at top of door, etc. looks new. will start this week removing damaged parts to see just how bad the thing really is. excited. cost with transport at this time $9,000. car really not worth much on the market but this was my first Maserati. I have owned it since 02

Mitchell, I love your style! 35 cars and 75 years, I hope to be so lucky one day. Too bad I live on the wrong end of OH. I'd love to see a few.

I wonder if this is your soft top problem:

That is post #11 from this thread on the "other" Maserati forum: www.************.com/forums/coupe-spyder-gs/17314-2005-spyder-convertible-problem.html

    I hope that helps!
