I am am close to purchasing an 03 spider, I am purchasing this as an interm car until my 430 spider arrives next yr.

I have a few questions. First a little bit about the car ( these are the options i know it has)

    Red on Tan
    Daytona Seats
    Power Seats
    1900 Miles
    1 yr of warranty left
    $185k
    No Sheilds and No Grill

Buying from a non franchise luxury dealer who owns other franchise dealerships ie ford, infinity.

    1. Any known issues on an 03?

    2. Do I need a PPI given low miles

3.assuming it has not been recently serviced what service would I require right now and cost?

    4. will it need a belt service next yr?

5.No window sticker, how do I get a replacement or find out whatother options it has?

    6.Thoughts on price?

    7. are the sheilds and grill going to kill me on resale?

    8. price next yr?

    9. any other thoughts or concerns

Any help on any of the above would be great

    thanks

Seems like a fair price, get the PPI done, nothing is cheap on these cars. If has been hit, its worth 1/3 less.

I think close to 180K is a fair price.

i agree with Al, about 180k is a fair price and you might be able to lower a bit futher..is it a 6 speed??? the grill can always be added after market, not a big deal...the sheilds are nice, but also not a deal killer...i would do a ppi unless you know the dealer personally and trust him implicitley....it is worth the few hundred dollars to make sure it was not in an accident....anything in the 170s is a good deal....

185k is a VERY fair price for an '03 -- not lower. A 4k-mile '02 F1 went for around $172k on eBay a few weeks ago, and you need to add $10k - $15k / model year for these cars.

    Is it F1 or 6-speed?

    euro or u.s....? big difference.
since it's 03, likely not a Euro but don't want to substitute assumption for knowledge.

its more like 5-10k dollars per model year newer....the big difference is the warranty...how much is left...i think the prices are dropping even with the 430 waiting lists....i wouldnt pay more than 180k....
