who are you that you got 3 of the cars that millionaires have a hard time getting, if you dont mind me asking?
I went to school at the American University in Washington, DC where I became friends with other students who are very influential, such as princes, princesses, ambassador's kids, prime minister's kids, kids whose fathers own multi-billion dollar companies, etc. That helps !
Are you for real? I got thrown out of Gettysburg college where i became friends with some guys that are very influential, strippers, mob bosses, politicians, etc. Still doesn't explain how YOU got 3 Enzo's.
0 miles, 50 miles, 0 miles? Who are you trying to fool? Go ahead and show us the odometer with 0 miles on it. New Ferraris are tested extensively at the factory before ever leaving Italy for delivery. There is no such thing as an Enzo for sale, or any other Ferrari for that matter, with 0 miles. Just a tip that they didn't teach you in your American University business class: don't lie to potential customers.
I may be wrong, but I think what he means by 0 miles is maybe the cars were never actually owned so no real (non-testing) miles were put on it. Or they were owned, but the owners never drove the car. Again I may be wrong.
enjoy the ban in your three enzos. don't put any miles on the ones with zero miles, though! - they're one of a kind
Alright guys. I was actually right. I just got off the phone w/ Ali; one of the cars has 16 miles on it from the factory, and the other only has 13. These cars have NOT been driven by any owners, the only miles put on them are from the FACTORY. So please do not think Ali doesn't know what he's talking about. People seem to be harassing him for no reason. Also, he was unaware that he could not post in the threads what appears to be an advertisement and for some reason cannot sign on anymore. If one of the moderators knows why he cannot sign on, please help him out he was unaware that what he posted is not allowed.
1. He can't post anymore because he has been banned. Hence, "banned user" under his name. He did know because when he did it the first time it was moved to Ferrariads and all his spamming posts were consolidated into one. 2. Before you posted, I had written this response about your belief that he didn't really mean "0 miles" : There is absolutely no way to determine what 50 miles or 0 miles in addition to factory test miles would equate to, since each car's test miles vary considerably. Indeed, under your conception, a "0 mile" 2003 may have more total miles than a "50 mile" 2003 - so, what is with the $15,000 premium, even though there is absolutely no way to confirm that the car hasn't been driven since its test miles. (And, by the way, you do not want to buy a car approaching 2 years old that has never been driven anyway.) Put simply, it's baloney, one way or another. My opinion is that he really did mean that the car had "0" miles, and he has been caught in that lie. However, he may very well know every Enzo owner in the world. But, at best, that relationship is extremely attenuated. He shows no evidence of real contact with or knowledge of the actual cars. If you want "serious buyers only" you first have to become a serious seller. 3. Upon reading about your telephone conversation, my initial instincts have been confirmed - that this is simply a complete lie. NO CAR COMES FROM THE FERRARI FACTORY WITH 13 OR 16 MILES. They acquire far more test miles than that. Period. The reason why people are harassing him is because he is wasting our time with these threads. It's annoying, and people don't like being lied to. Spam email is really easy to delete without reading; internet pop-ups are really easy to X out of; but they both still really tick you off. It ticks me off when someone comes into Ferrarichat claiming to be selling an Enzo with 13 miles on it when no such car exists.
In case you didn't follow my previous link: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=73586&postcount=14 Cars are tested between 50 and 100+ miles before leaving the factory. Prove me wrong and post pics of the odometers.
You seem to be blowing this out of proportion. I'm trying to get the mileage figured out, but besides that how is it not possible there could be a few cars out there w/ low mileage? Second, depending on the moderators opinion he was or wasn't advertising. Third it appears to me that you seem to believe he has sat in the Enzo's and owns them himself, he doesn't. They are in the Middle East from what I have gathered. He is going on information he himself has received. If you yourself aren't interested in the cars than state your opinion (since this is a public forum) and back off, there is no need to attack others. You get ticked off when people claim to have an Enzo w/ 13 miles on it, I get ticked off when people attack others (those who are my friends) accusing them of being liars.
Ye Gads!!! Look at all this whining over some guy who is spamming the site try to sell cars he doesn't even own. Well you convinced me. I had only banned him for a couple days but I have now seen the error of my ways and I lifted the ban....... So I could ban him for longer!
Wow, Banned in one day! I seem to recall threads about Ferraris for sale before. Why is this different? Because you don't believe him? Give him a chance to sink or swim......... This isn't a spam get quick rich scam. Most like to see threads of potential Ferrari sales. I think he should be given a chance to prove himself. BTW- I don't know this guy & you could be right........... ----------------- Ok, you must have sensed I was going to respond.... that's why you lifted it while I was typing.............LOL
Ouch. Harsh. Why so negative? Maybe he does not have the 'netiquette he should but we can fix that by talking to him instead of banning him. If he's really moving cars, he can buy ads. Wouldn't we be better off if Ali supported Fchat by buying ads? It'd be better for his business and better for US. Someone should get in touch with Ali, explain to him what is happening and how he can remedy the situation so we can all be happy. Don't go Ali!
He has been a member of F-chat since june I believe it is, and this is the first incident, other than that he's a great guy so please give him a chance and allow him to stay on. Thank you for the support Emil.
Noah, you and I should talk to Ali. If he up for it, I'll call Rob on Monday. I've subscribed to the board (like mahy of us) and have sponsored activity here. I'm sure cooler heads will prevail if we're all up for it.
Ummm..... NO! He spammed several forums on the board the other day and one of the moderaters cleaned it up, besides being banned for a couple of day's isn't the end of the world. Even if the Pope himself joined the board and spammed it up trying to sell a Holy Rolling GTO that was hand built by Enzo I would probably ban him for a couple days just on principle. I wouldn't have thought much of it if he had just posted an occasional ad but he seems to want to play the role of a big time **** swingin' Enzo broker with connections....... though he doesn't actually have the car(s) in his possession. How does that make him different from all those FERRARI FX F60 ENZO ZERO MILES IMMEDIATE DELIVERY AS SOON AS THE MONEY IS IN MY NIGERIAN BANK ACCOUNT ads on eBay that only have press release pictures? Hell, for all I know the guy could be 100% legitimate and these bargain price Enzos are on the boat to the US as we speak. If so then wouldn't it be worth his while to do a little legitimate advertising? It's not exactly like he's trying selling a rusted out '82 Pinto that smells suspiciously like gas.
Mark, Thank you for your diligence. We really do appreciate it. In this case, however, I believe that we have a handful of situations of poor netiquette and no nefarious behaviour at all -- despite what it may seem. Like I said, if Ali is interested in doing business on F-chat, we'll get it straightened out for you and we'll get him and bossman Rob talking about doing some appropriate advertising ASAP next week. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to try to sell my '82 Pinto that smells suspiciously like gas on eBay. Emil
I haven't banned anyone, nor do I have the power to do so. If it's simply bad netiquette, fine. But, it was pretty damn bad. To quote Mark, "I wouldn't have thought much of it if he had just posted an occasional ad but he seems to want to play the role of a big time **** swingin' Enzo broker with connections......." And it wouldn't be the first time on FChat either. Add to this 1. Napolis's sureness that non-U.S. Enzos cannot be federalized (someone who knows a thing or two about such things); 2. the ridiculous claim of 0 miles; 3. then the even more ridiculous claim of 13 and 16 miles on the odo.; 4. no pictures, no VINs, nothing. Just go through the facts, and I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. If the cars do exist, it is clear that he is very far removed from them. No offense to anyone. Just trying to keep the quality of this place high. Good luck with the sales...
