Just a sample, a spot of rust on the front bumper.:)
They were all painted black, I guess the paint did not protect the chrome much.
The rubber was shot on all 4.

First, removal of front strap for the rubber.
We are cutting out the remaining offending metal, as completely shot, shape a new one, weld, blend, then re chrome.
We want to keep as much original parts as possible.

Much better now...the others are being smoothed out, as a few dings here and there.
Whio sells the front rubber sections, Cicognani? I have worked with them,
and short of the bank transfer pains, their stuff is great.

Now we have to see if the chromers here are any good.

Superformance showed me the rubber profile they where going to stock and it looked a carbon copy of the original, that was a few years ago. Ask the team to send you a decent sample to check, much easier the Cicognani

Also the paint finish on the inside was a special plumbate type primer, colour was grey on mine but some report a very light green. A quick search may yield some results on that

    Keep up the good work.

Thank you Tony! Did you ever make tools for the L series?

    Kind regards,

I could never find the correct material for the pouches unfortunately. I found some that were close but not good enough.

As you know the spanners are the only difference in the early tool kits (as well as the tool pouches) compared with the E series sets I made a few years ago. All of those are now sold and I dont plan to make anymore.
