    Does anybody have any history or photographs of this car beyond the images shown in the Henry Rasmussen, Salute to the Spyder, book or the R&T 1991 article? As I understand it, the original family that still owns it today keeps it well hidden. If I am incorrect in that assumption, I would love to learn where / when it may be shown. I would rather own this car then pretty much anything else ever made...

    I presume they still have the car. I have had the great pleasure of meeting Bob (the son). Of course the first chance I got, I steered the conversation toward the car. He talked about driving it and winding it up pretty well. In the western US, those opportunities are there- if you're judicious.
    I guess the way I'd look at it is this- for a few people, you can offer them a billion dollars for something and they can honestly reply that they've already got a billion. At that point, whatever it is of theirs that you want you're probably going to have to wait until they get tired of it.
    I haven't seen any other photos of 0460AM but they may be out there. The car seems to be in the hands of a family that appreciates what they have and appreciates it for what it is. Maybe for this one, that has to be enough.
