I totally agree but their system is such crap and owners are constantly loosing remotes, breaking remotes loosing PIN codes, selling cars to the next owner who does not have all the remotes or PIN codes, ECU swapped left/right when new alarm packs are placed thus killing that option again unless a new ECU is bought. Yup a profit center for Ferrari. I do not think they care for the owners if the cars are stolen. Pros thieves get right pass these things anyway. I think of finding a solution a service to owners not a disservice. While we may pursue this issue we may not be able to figure it out.

With the knowledge base here there is little question it will be figured out. Every point you make is valid and I agree with. I just want the knowledge of this to be limited to folks with only good intension's. Most of the folks posting to this thread do not concern me in the least, certainly not yourself. I just see it to be a real problem if the method to bypass an alarm is exposed in a public forum, that would be a disservice to the owners. As you stated, the pro's have little problem, I just dont want to see the bar lowered any.

I don't think the people that did her car went to that extreme. I'm guessing that the ecu only needs to see a small amount of voltage to keep the alarm off. Like when I get gas I turn the car off but leave the key on so I dont have to reset the alarm again to start. Maybe they found where the power needs to stay on(such as wire #43 on the left ECU) so that the Factory immobilizer will not re activate. ?? It would probably only need .5 volts to keep it off but it would likely run the battery down with long term non use(nothing new with a F-car)

This is the only thing I can come up with. Or they used a new alarm speaker and cloned the factory remote somehow. The only thing is that the car did not act like a Ferrari alarm at all. It locked and unlocked immediately like a Ford vehicle. Ferrari sometimes has a delay to it and if you push the button too fast it will get confused. This car did not do that at all.

Highly unlikely. As stated, there is a CAN Bus involved (so a specific combination of 1's and 0's in a train).
