I am selling my '05 612 Scaglietti and moving on to something else that's in the works.

I purchased this car from Cauley Ferrari as a CPO, it recently had major service at Auto Gallery Woodland Hills. At the time they said the belts were optional but fine, the belts were changed January '11 and the car has only about 3000 miles since the change. All maintenance is up to date and the clutch life is excellent. I can share the Auto Gallery report from the last service with a prospective buyer.
This car is Grigio Ingrid which was just treated with opti coat so besides a couple of small stone ships on the front, the paint is perfect. Everything works as it should and the car needs nothing unless the new owner wants to change the belts right away.
    CPO warranty ended this month.

F1 Trans. Black daytonas with contrast stitching. Factory covers, trickle charger, manuals are included as is an aftermarket outdoor cover.
18500 miles. The car is located in Encino. Also currently for sale on ebay.

    $92,500

Belt change interval is 5 years or 30,000 miles, so they do not need changing for a couple of years.

Pics are updated, I'm not sure if I did too much better.
It's perfect, but that's hard to get across with an iPhone camera / unskilled user.

The car was also shot for Gold Magazine Japan, but I can't seem to find the pictures online. Anyone speak Japanese?

Tremendous value. Prices dropping on early 612s. Such a shame. Won't be able to find a good one soon. They're going to owners who will not maintain.

When does your new fcar come in?

I have the paperwork on the new car, I decided on a 2011 California. It's in as soon as I send them the 612.
Just put new tires on the 612 yesterday, and was marveling at how flawless it is, especially compared to used F cars that I have been test driving. Too bad no one is getting a deal on it, as soon as it goes to the dealer it's getting more expensive.

And yes, it's a shame that when the cars get to a certain price point they're not serviced properly any more. I saw a lot of cars only a few years old that the service was either shoddy or not done and then a good looking car was dumped on an unsuspecting new owner.
There was a 360 in the Auto Gallery when I had my Maser last serviced that someone bought cheap. The bill was around $30k to get it sorted.

Sadly, the dealer trade in value will not net you anywhere close to your asking price but it will be behind you.

It's a shame the world works that way. Nothing against dealers making money. But it's just a shame that a car has to be on a showroom floor to entice most people. Private sale takes a long time.

    Ferraris in particular.

No big deal, I get to drive a California in a couple of weeks and I really enjoy the ride.
I'm not worried about the loss, but it's disappointing because it would have made a great car for someone as it has not a hair out of place.

I need to get my cali. I love the ride, too. The 599 preempted me, but once the 612 is out of the garage the search for the right cali begins. Going to be fun, too. Prices will be coming down nicely in the near term and with the 599, the itch for a top performer like a cali 30 or cali the is gone. I can happily pick up a 2010.

Ferrari of Ontario has 2 612s recently. The 07 Sessanta 14k km? asking 235k sold yesterday after about 6 weeks. I want that car. The other is an 06 Ingrid with tan/grey 80k km asking 96k and it's been for sale for over a year. It's also missing some trim, why would the right hand fender trim be missing? I forget which emblem. It's the one I can maybe afford but because of the missing emblem I'm not even phoning them.

I don't understand? An emblem? You're passing on a car, one of only a dozen or so for all years produced currently available on this continent, over an emblem? I realize there might be a story behind it, and I undertand your concern. But isn't it worth exploring?

One big problem particularly for our under loved 2+2's is there's a significant gap between what many 3rd or 4th owners really want to spend to maintain their supercar, leaving them needing but by no means lost, and the buyer who often wants the appearance of perfection these cars we all agree deserve.

Here's the thing. The 612 is considered a fairly reliable ferrari, understatement there. But we have the stickies, the window switches, the mirror control, the dash leather, the reverse lever, the LED display, all very common service points and potentially adding up to great sums if they all creep up even in trifectas. That's in addition to already relatively significant maintenance we know we're going to need to prepare for.

So, back to the emblem. In the grand scheme, why not find out what the story is? The concern over the worst it might be in the grand scheme is probably a drop in the bucket compared to what you might normally expect. So why not find out?
