It seems that the factory installed Becker system doesn't play MP3, although the Head of the Becker unit shows that it reads MP3. Noted that both 6-dics cartridge and the single Head are unable to play. Do you have the same experience? If I want to replace the system, what would be the most suitable system? The original speakers are acceptable to me, so I do not see the need to replace the speakers. Thanks in advance.

CF card slides into slot behind faceplate, set it up just like iPod with playlists, etc. Plays right off it. I use my iPod but it is easier to leave a CF in slot. 8mb in there now. I used same thing in my Superamerica.

I thought it plays MP3 (on the regular CD disc format). The manual never mentions about it or maybe I missed it. Thank you, I will try on the CF card.

I've opened the slot behind the the faceplate, and could not find any slot for CF card, only a 4-CD magazine/storage behind the plate.

Here is an option... You can convert the single din to double din and there are a lot options as I usually install kenwood now.....
