It was run through the Riverside Manheim auction last week, but didn't sell. They are obviously looking to unload the car - could be had at a good price?

Ferrari of Silicon Valley had it for sale in October, 2008, with 6,000 miles; they were asking $349,000 back then. Then they had it for sale in late March, 2009, same mileage, $344,500. It's been off my radar ever since.

John, do you have any insight into why this car didn't sell at Manheim?

The bidders didn't offer enough, and the seller was expecting too much...

j/k, but exotics especially, have a very low sale rate at Manhiem. It seems that many cars go through the lane as a form of advertising - with private transactions taking place afterwards. This offers several advantages for high-dollar cars - a (somewhat) more thorough inspection of the car can be completed, and records etc can be inspected. It also can keep the "auction car" stigma from being applied. Although they have high-end sales, Manhiem still runs fast paced, buy at your own risk auctions which are not conducive to the exchange of 150k+ cars.
