Just bought a new 07 Denali, have owned 4 of the last gen, and thoughts, opinions? I don't want to mod it heavily since i only keep them a year or two depending on how many miles i rack up (45K a year) so.

I think the Yukons look better then the Escalades. Nice truck for sure. About modding it maybe lower it, tin the windows, and exhaust but besides that the Yukon looks awesome.

Went for the denali because they are considered the 95% escalade. Also i use it as a work truck, so it makes more sense, trading in my 06 and walking away with this for 20K. the thing is i put 50K on the 06 in one year three months >.<

Looks great! How well do they hold up to that much abuse that quickly?

Fine, nothing going wrong, trim holds up fine, only problem i had (once) was a oil pump failing but that was a warranty issue i have racked up 340K over four vehicles and they are great. Honestly i love em

I have an 05 Avalanche without the plastic bodywork. I drove an 07 yesterday and think I'll order one. New stainless trim package, black leather with grey inserts. The only thing I didn't like was the new muffler position at the backs hangs down a bit.

If it's your work truck, why did you go for the Denali?

We have a last-gen Yukon for work stuff, and thinking about the switch up to the new Yukon.

Too bad they don't offer the 405hp motor in that truck. I would be a worthwile option.

o_O why.. I will never use the 380 as is, and if i really wanted to get it to 405hp, mod the exhaust, intake, and ECU reflash will do that maybe 1500 total

I didnt mean that as a insult, sorry if it came out that way. I was actually having a conversation with my father about that, it really doest do much for a vehicle this size. so its more a waste than anything. IMHO

I never did like American SUVS, because they always came across to me as POCs (pieces of crap). So you buy it, write it off, then trade it in next year for another one? If so, that's not a bad idea! :)

New Sept. 05 with 43K mi. Also owned by my Inc. I like the new ones but I'll wait to Sept. 07 for best depreciation, then look for $10K off sticker. These are built on the Suburban chassis and are a sweet ride. Best GM junk available.

Why 50K, something special about it tax-wise or otherwise? Cheers!

Nice! The only thing that holds my parents back from buying a Yukon XL Denali or Suburban or Escalade ESV is the third row seat leg room. I sat in one yesterday and compared to the new Expedition EL the legroom was terrible.
