Looking at finalizing the deal on my first Ferrari this week! Upon looking over the car today for the second time in closer detail, I seen that the original manuals are still in there sealed plastic packaging, the tools and air pump were also still in the plastic. And lastly, a small cardboard box, with the vip photos inside appearing to have never even been opened. So... with this 07 having about 3k miles, would this be a good sign or a not so good sign? The car looks nearly perfect, small scuff marks on side of drivers seat from getting in and out. but that appears to be all that is visible.
Sounds good to me... I would still do an inspection, but with all that stuff, it clearly came from someone who cared and didn't abuse the car... or at least it appears that way. Private seller or Dealer?
They all have scuffs on the seats. If it didn't, you will have them in a week. Inside the VIP book are the birth pictures of the car during assembly. 3K is nothing to worry about. I would make sure that the dealer has made all the updates and that the car hasn't been crashed or abused. Is the warranty expired? Spiders had a 4 year warranty.
Hey guys, thanks for your input so far. It is from a dealer in Cleveland that is pretty well know for high end cars. I did see the birth pics... they are very cool! but is got me thinking of what type of guy the first owner may have been like? Did he have a new car every year? Did he plan on keeping the car for a very long time and wanted to keep them original? Did he not care at all and beat the piss out of the car?? maybe never now. The warranty shows to be up in April... this is only 3 years... Thought they all were forced to have 4 years on drivetrain? I decided to post another thread on "10 reasons I should not to buy this car" as I feel it will probably get better responses for my comfort level. there is also the link to the 430 I am looking at posted there.
