    Hello to all!
Been a member for over a year now, mainly lurking/reading to gain knowledge as I'm a fairly new owner of a beautiful Black 07 F430. I purchased the car in Nov/18 and have been loving it ever since. This is my first Ferrari!. It is truly a thrill to drive and my teenage daughter absolutely loves it when I pick her up from school as many of the boys will yank out the camera and video the car (makes her feel like she's got-it-going-on!) LOL.

Anyway, purpose of this post is to get feedback from you members to help resolve an issue that has recently come up. First, a bit of background...I took the car in for a bit of work last month to replace the head-gaskets as they were starting to weep, spark-plugs, battery, and power steering pump (mechanic noticed that there was a bit of moisture/leakage at the hose connection to the unit). Got the car back back and runs great! It was cold that day so I did not roll down the windows. However about a week later, when I drove it again, I rolled down the drivers window and about 3/4 of the way down, the door automatically pops open! I thought...hmmm, that's strange, never did that before. Since then, every time I lower the window, the door pops open about 3/4 of the way down. Note, I can close it just fine. Not a big issue, just a PITA to have to re-close the door every time I roll the window down. Passenger door is fine. I did a search on the thread but did not find much that was helpful.
    My thoughts are as follows:
    1) While at the mechanic shop getting work done, they driving/testing the car, somehow the wire connected to the latch to open the door is/got caught on the metal railing that holds the glass and is thus opening the door automatically?
    2) Could this be electronic? Example, they replaced the battery, therefore, could it have somehow impacted (screwed up) the electronic function between the window switch and the door latch/locks?
    3) Spoke with mechanic, stated it's probably just the wire getting caught on the metal railing inside the door.

Other than that, the car mechanically/electronically works flawlessly. Your feedback on what the issue might be is truly appreciated.
Attached are a few picks. Note, I had the Scuderia stripes installed about a month ago, I just love the look of the stripes and it helps make the car "pop" against the all black body. Thanks! .

Weeping head gaskets would be a big deal. Bet you meant cam cover gaskets.

Yes, meant to say valve-cover gaskets. Thanks for pointing this out.

I'd just drop the door panels and take a look inside for interference of the window railing with the look locking mechanism.

The door will not pop open electrically, it needs the cable pulling using the inside or outside latch. The cable run must have moved and the window is catching it and popping the latch. The door cable outer casing is attached to the door skin in places by cable ties, so these need checking to see if broken.
