seems cheap to me- my bet is that this was a car used in the Ferrari Driving Experience; If so definitely drops the value

Car fax indicates there are 5 owners. If it would have been red instead of black, I would be all over it by now. Too bad!

most of the FDE car show millage not from 0 but from whatever the car is register after the demo period. the car that I was looking at before in local dealeship show millage start at 8500 instead of 0. I might be wrong but that how I found out when I check out the car fax.

I get $158.5k using my slightly modified version of F430GT's formula.

Start with 2009 zero mile "special color" = 210
    -10k for not being white/silverstone
    -10k for 2008 Model year
-10k for no US Carbon package (Can anyone tell from the pics for sure?)
    -20k for 10,000 miles at 2/mile
-1.5k for 1,500 miles in excess of 10,000 at 1/mile

    =$158.5k

Vs. their asking price of $164.5k (as to be expected a bit higher than the "sale price" predicted by the model...so the model suggests you should be able to get them down $6k to make a deal...not much!). Condition will matter...the front headlights appear to me to have the fogging issue? (not sure from the pics, but check Pic #8)

Bottomline, I think their asking price is reflective of market asking prices for this car...neither a "deal" nor too high.

Beautiful in black *white or rosso scud is my preference.

I say $160 seems like a good deal, assuming the PPI checks out.

    These prices are VERY tempting...

Do you guys think being a black and having 5 owners will even tougher to resell when you're done and bored with it? Apart from having a red rev counter, I like it. Noticed the headlight fogging as well.

Yup. The color is fine, nbd. However it will be six owners when you are done. Buy it if you plan to "keep it forever" it doesn't matter.

I'm curious where I can see/find this formula for pricing that was mentioned. Can it be used for standard F430?

Seems like a good deal to me if you can get the car for < 160K. Drive it for a year then sell for high 140's at a cost of 1000/month. I can't imagine that you couldn't sell it for high 140's given that F430 2008 will be > 140's? Of course this only works if you don't get killed with 10% sales tax.

Based on the most recent f430gt pricing guide, I get $163,380.

    Start with $185 (for 08 no us carbon) - 20k (first 10k miles) - 1620 (for miles over 10k)

Based on the photos, the front diffuser looks carbon (plastic is usually lighter grey/silver) but back diffuser appears to be plastic.

Well in her defense I do have too many toys. FYI she's only considered a toy from 9pm til 1am. The rest she's my loving wife :)

Checked with dealer...not an FDE car. Both headlamps have fogging from cf housing, stated Ferrari looking into a campaign. Rear diffuser is not cf.

Is it because you have a CF package and they need to replace the CF surrounding etc? Because $10k for one headlight sounds a lot.
