Twenty-one (21) years between these two (2) pictures. People tell me I have patience, but you don't see it that way until you look backwards and think; yes, I guess I must! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW! Very nice and well worth the time spent!! I just came back from our shop where we're almost done restoring 0846 to her Daytona livery. She looks really great. I'll post some photo's soon. We're also putting 002C back into her MM livery and doing all the final details once and for all. It really does never end...
We're getting closer. In a few weeks we'll bring her home, strip her down, clean and inspect everything, and start to put her back together. Jim I don't know if you ever mentioned who is doing the work. It seems to be first class needless to say.
After a long while she will be coming back to our shop so the next phase can begin. Her original coupe body is back on her. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's sure to be a show stopper Jim. I'm sure you have a few shows in your planner for this one. Any wins expected after all is said and done? _J
Can't wait to see this project completed and looking forward to seeing 0846 in her 67 Daytona livery!
Any news on this project, am extremely interested as this car has some South African history, apparently it was used for a land speed event just after the Kyalami 9 hour, the car topped out at 189 mph beating the then South African record of 177mph.
Hi Over the last years we've been involved with a massive amount of work that expanded and expanded. Part of it was a desire to get all my cars ready for Act 3 and have them good to go for the next 20 years. There is finally light at the end of the tunnel and we should be able to jump on 0854 and finish her up soon. She is very special and when we're done she will be very original. Best
Or the stampede. I went to an exotic car drive and gathering yesterday and half the owners there were trying to sell off cars, hopefully quickly.
Jim, the front windshield is not a very common shape. Did you have to get it custom made? Love the metal work btw.
