1:12 AA display case

Anyone have the 1:12 autoart display case, with the carbon fibre look base? just wondering what you think of it

 

I've got a couple of them. I've also got one that doesn't have the CF look. Pretty nice. It doesn't really look all that much like carbon fiber, but it's better than the regular flat plastic. You can buy them direct from AA for ~$50 (when they have them in stock... should be getting them shortly, according to an email I got from them a while back).

Morry has them in stock I believe, however his price is higher... I need a pair of them, but I'm content to wait...

I used this CF veneer on a base for one of my models, it worked great with a bit of 3M adhesive. It is not the least expensive stuff around but it is real CF and it looks great.

yeah thats, a nice idea to. do you have enough room to open the engine bay, & hood, & still be able to fit it under the lid? the cf one look's abit nicer. thank's for the pic's!

The carbon fiber look one is much nicer IMO.

 

It's not tall enough to open up the F40 or F50. The Enzo is close, but can be done...

I do not have pics. the model and base were sold. We have a #2 child on the way so I am trying get rid of the bulk of my collection that sits in the closet. That was one of those that sat in the closet of the new house.

 

Any update on the availability of the AA 1:12 display case? I can't find them anywhere. Anyone have a source?

I have been running into the same problem for the last month. I need four and no one stocks ANY 1:12 cases.

 

I don't get it - they have been out of stock everywhere I checked for around 5 months, and none of my usual stores has any info at all. What could possibly be the hold up?

 

When I was checking back in June or so, Morry had some, but wanted more than I was willing to pay - perhaps he still has them... I'll just keep mine covered until they do come back around - seems like I had this same problem when I was trying to get a case for my F40.
