A question for you all. Of the varying colours of Minichamps McLaren F1, which is the most exclusive/valuable/sought after? I seem to remember reading it was it the silver version then the yellow. Would you sell a yellow one for the silver? Any feedback would be appreciated.
I just got a 1/12 Enzo by tamiya and i am very impressed with the attention to detail. The model came together very easily as well. I collect mainly BBR models (handbuilts) and this is my first "large" scale model and i must say i love it!! I also got the display case along with it and i have had numerous compliments on it.... If i could choose a color for them to make in this car, it would definetly be = Blue (moro or TDF)
I found pics of this a couple weeks ago, I don't know if anyone has seen it yet. A custom 1/12 McLaren F1/LM. I just found the pics, the model isn't mine.
they average cost 500-700USD... 2 silver one are 750USD and 400EUR, the grey one is 370EUR, the yellow one is 470EUR, the green one, is 180EUR, the blue one is 200EUR... the wine red is only 650USD... The orange LM cost me another couple hundred US dollars.... But I love that very much... I bought 3 of those.
Wait til you get a diecast 1/12, although the attention to detail may not be quite up to scratch as the Enzo (I wouldnt notice the difference but others may), I think they are far better! Stick the F50 on you're "to get" list. Matthew
Where can I buy the 1/12 Mclaren F1 orange LM? It looks extremely nice! I tried the link you posted but it didn't work......
PM Michael, may be the most expensive model you ever buy though but individuality comes with a price. I ended up paying more for my Enzo than the LM costs unfortunately (kickng myself) but that was a while ago.
There was one on auction at Ebay.de by a Japanese seller.... stick with it..... I paid mine close to 1000EUR....
I see it. The picture makes the front wheel look as though it sits quite far in the front arch, does it? Regards, Matthew
in actual, it is not like that... anyways, you better make your decision before they were sold out....LOL
no opening parts at all, but you can see the interior and engine thru the windshield and engine cover... it looks great. 4 wheels roll.
any words on the Kyosho 1/12 ENZO? god I have been waiting for months, still nothing!!!... did they cancel the project or what? should I buy the tamiya's instead?.....
Hobby Link Japan is accepting pre-orders, I think it will show up before summer.... I heard some local hobby shop that the Kyosho Enzo will arrive end of June....
If you are planning to get one Enzo, I recommended you to wait for Kyosho. But you have more budget, then you may think of buy the Black Tamiya Enzo and get a red Kyosho.
ok thanks I was about to buy a tamiya's, but kinda concerned about the QC problems after reading this thread. I guess I will wait for the Kyoshos then.
I owe a Tamiya red enzo, but I am converting it to FXX currently. And I am going to buy a black Enzo end of this month.
