I don't have an airbrush yet so I planned on going with spray cans yet on this one. Shipping paint has to the states is now a bigger problem. I could have a paint sample scanned & matched tho. Any chance you could make me a sample on a flat scrap piece?

Incredible work. Have you got any links to your other work?

    I think I've got paint solved :)
I've got some albums on Facebook. I haven't been building very long though & never intended to start building models as a hobby, LOL

Not sure if this link will work as I'm on my phone...

Got my paint & did a test body. I'm undecided on it tho. Seems to match in certain lighting but changes shades quite a bit depending on light source. The response I've gotten from everyone so far regarding Rame Colorado is "we cannot mix that color at this time" so I'm still open to suggestions!
Right now I'm finishing up front suspension & front compartment details & then on to body work...

Painted 2 spare bodies (1/24 scale) to try out some colors. Hard to get good pics, but these two pics match. Waiting to hear back from another supplier regarding rame colorado. Both of these colors look pretty good...the older photo is closer to what my original thought was but I may go with the color matching the modern photo. Keeping fingers crossed on getting a true match though...

Your work is incredible! When I finally get around to building mine I think I am going to paint it red. What did you use to make the carpets?

Thank you! The carpeting is done with flocking, which is like a fabric powder sprinkled over wet glue & pressed down..

Very cool! Did you make the front wing? What paint did you use?

All the wings & bumpers look great. I'm not the best scratch builder so I stick to simple bits. Paint mix won't help me since I don't have an airbrush

Supposed to know by Monday if I can get Rame Colorado. If not it will probably get painted one of these two colors. Can't decide which so I two toned this scrap body...

on the left of the picture, or on the left of the car ;)

I'd say: passenger side is the best match ...

Excellent! I'm getting Rame Colorado mixed. Only available in base/clear but I'll take it. Was hoping for lacquer for polishing properties, but I'll see how this goes :)

Those newer release kits from Aoshima look nice. The 1/24 fujimi enthusiast kits are very well detailed, even more than the 1/16 scale ones I've got. Problem is the parts get so tiny & fragile. I haven't built any of them yet tho. Disappointing that the 1/16 bodies are a bit "off". I do like the larger scales. The Anniversary one looks pretty good tho & I may be building that one next.

I never tried making new Fujimis. I had bad experience with them in the early90s and gave on Fujimi since then.

All the kits I have are fairly old ones. Only newer one I've built is Aoshima's Airwolf kit, which is fantastic & got me back into building models again.
