    DES,
You already have a 1964 250 GTO or a 1962 GTO? I have a Bburago 1962 GTO, but this is the first 1964 one I have seen other than Jouef.

Hard to believe they made just three real cars, and you can get a model of it.

Oh, you wanna know the YEAR...? LOL...

i'll check when i get home as i have absolutely no idea; i don't even know if the model or the box says that... The one i have is a racing version... If you talk to me enough about it, i'll go home and take an obscene amount of pictures and post them all- twice. It's a really awesome model and i'm happy to have it added to my collection... i'll check it out for a date when i get home...

Hmmm...the racing version. I think Mattel made the dirty racing 1962 version. Could be either year. I ask, since the cars have different bodies. The last three GTO's made in 1964 were more like a 250 LM with the engine up front.

I think there was a controversy that the 250 GTO was just a modified street car and thus legal for racing, while the 250 LM was just a rear-engine modification of the 1964 GTO, which was really a modified 1962 GTO. Enzo knew how to play the rules for Le Mans.
