Allthough I find the model in itself pretty cool, it is indeed a 308 GTB made to look like a 308 GT/4 and in that sense completely wrong. So, the price should be lowered considerably to make it a fair deal.

This the guy that sells me this F50 GT (http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23091). I paid 130€ for this piece of garbage. Lately, i modified it, and it gets so much better (worse is impossible).
I thougt that Tifosi12 bought this 308 gt/4 kit from this seller 2 months ago or so.
    Ask him if it's ok.

I suspect this seller to be sort of those plebs, who sell their 'good stuff' inside Germany, and think, they can sell the crap overseas, since the Americans may think, sending back is prohibitively expensive and therefore may do without a refund. If actually only every second or third buyer acts like this, the seller makes good profit.

I have already experienced something like that reversely.

    Best from Germany

Actually it is a lot more than a few fenders and a wing. I bought the kit myself and it has about 4 bags filled with parts.

At first I didn't see it, but there is definitely a close relationship between a 308 GTB and the GT/4. And thanks to the paint job they kinda get away with it.

Would I prefer this kit on the basis of a GT/4? Heck yes, but short of that in 1/18 scale this is the best alternative.

I haven't built my kit yet, but just looking at the pics etc I'm sure it will look quite convincing. The paint job btw is based on S/N 08020 built for the N.A.R.T., which is very different from the pictures posted here so far.

Oh and btw: The guys who came up with this kit in Germany are very reputable folks who have done other conversion kits. Nothing shoddy.

PS: Welcome to the board Martin. Making a bit of a splash coming into the pool?

Wow - when I saw this first pic load, I was convinced that Martin made a mistake, and that I was looking at a Jalpa - uncanny!

No, sorry, not my intention. But please allow me one question; like mentioned on my 'reintroduction', I already participated on the 'old' Ferrarichat and there was a longer interruption due to different personal reasons.

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35397

But my question is; how many posts are required till someone is allowed to tell his REAL opinion ?
There's so much amazing work, but there's also a lot of crap; and I would like to say it, if I regard something as such.

    Best Regards

    Martin

Well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion starting at post #1. I just think, that before you call something "ridiculous" you might want to hang around for a while. I have been building models for thirty years and collecting Ferraris for about 20 years and in all that time I never came across a 1/18 kit for a 308 GT/4. So I'm not shooting instantly somebody down who tries to give that kit to us. I'm actually grateful somebody did. I have built many "add-on" kits over the years, they're never as good as an industrially built model, but hey it's better than not having a model.

If you follow this forum you see how many people would love to have a 1/18 model of this car. Here is the chance to get one.
