I just bought from the Mattel warehouse a F2003 GA for $10.00. I want to put the Marlboro decals on the car but i can't seem to find any. (I already checked EBAY.) The only decal kit I could find was for a 2004 but I'm not sure if that will work. Are there any other sources that some members here might know about for decals?

    Thanks,

    Will

I have a unused 1:18 set stashed somewhere.........still unpacking..........trying to remember where I found them.

Try EWA.........don't think it was Exoticar or Speedgear....

Thanks for the info everyone, Tex if you don't need that decal sheet, I'll be glad to take it off your hands.

Btw, do you have a link or info to EWA?

    Will,
I just bought the same model a few days ago at the Mattel factory store but with an extra 30% off the $10. Did your store have the same deal? I believe that it applies up till Christmas day, so, including tax, I obtained it for $7.50.

I'm also curious about the decals.

No, I didn't get a deal as sweet as that but thank you for the info. I've heard that the other Mattel toy store locations offer much better discounts & inventory than the one I go to. I'm still happy I obtained mine. I remember seeing the exact same F2003 GA at a local hobby shop in Houston selling for $75.00 back in 2003.

I got my decals a week ago but just put them on the car today, (I took my time ordering them) here's a couple of pics. The only thing I recommend is to remove a section of the white paint on the upper cockpit area before applying the larger MARLBORO decals. It comes off very easily & you may want to skip trying to but on the decal on Shumys race suit. The area is too small to apply them & they just don't fit correctly. I had to take the model apart to correctly play the white Marlboro decal on the front of the car, I used an exacto knife to ream the antennas from the inside of their base. If you notice, they haven't been glued back into place. Other than that it was kind of fun, I look forward to customizing more.

Looks great! Excellent job for a first-timer... Did you do the underside(s) of the rear spoiler as well?

Edit: A technique you can try next time for the antennae on the nose that worked for me in the past is to pick up a pair of modeler's pliars (needle nose) at a hobby shop. I grabbed the antennae on mine at the base and gently pulled/wiggled back and forth - they popped right out. It made glueing them back in much easier because the little "bulb" that pops into the body of the car still remained. It also allowed me to use less glue...
