1/18 F430 by Hotwheels

The F430 was supposed to originally be out in May, and then June, but got pushed back. Now the status is available in August. I own a diecast car company, a small store I do on the side. I have ordered a few for my shop. My status is still waiting to be shipped. The Maserati MC12 is due out later this year (around August), so I'd guess they'd be out in the new releases of Hot Wheels. I heard from my dealer, that it will come sometime this month...
So please prove me right Can't wait for August!

 

Exoticar model company sent me a notification that a shipment of f430's has just arrived. They started shipping yesterday. Give them 4-5 days.

Is it me, or are the dimensions way off?

 

the dimensions are good, maybe wheels too big :$

 

In the second pic showing, it looks like the front is a little too short, with the headlights too oversized, but I suppose indeed the dimensions are ok, with the wheels being a little bit too ´whips´.

 

Yeah, the rims are too big. HW should have made the Enzo rims in that proportion, and the F430 rims in the Enzo's proportions. The Enzo rims are too small and the tyre sidewalls are too tall, especially the front tyres. Real shame...

 

Simple solution...swap the wheels from the Enzo onto the F430 and vise-versa. That is what I intend on doing when my 3 get here.

 

I saw one of those go for 700 dollars on ebay 2 weeks ago i guess some people just can't wait to get there F430

 

If Hotwheels managed to put together a diecast that looked right. It hasn't happened yet.

 

Good lord people...IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT...DON'T BUY IT!!! And for the love of God...quit complaining as it does abosolutely no good but to drive people away from the negativity. I am begining to hate coming to this board because of all the complaints and such being thrown around about things you have no control over. Get real people...these are toys!! And yes...I do consider the $400+ 1:18 Enzo, and the likes, to be a TOY!! Get over it.

This guy posted pics of his F430 to show people what it looks like and to show that they are shipping. But what is it met with? How would you like it if the same was done to you?

Get what you pay. To be honest, I think this model is very nice for $30. You cannot expect to get a Rolls Royce and you only pay for a Toyota price.

I bought my 1:18 HW black Enzo from K-Mart for $15. If I come across an F430 or CS for the same price, I'll buy it. I'm satisfied with my HW Enzo. Looks like an Enzo to me and very good price unlike those $75 Minichamps models (non-Ferrari).

 

Calm down.....no one was criticising him personally or anything, just giving their opinions on the model. I find it kind of helpful, as I have some idea of what I am getting.

Mens forget that the 1/18 was absolutly not like actually.

They tell "30$ max and it's really max !!!!!!!!" but few years ago, when 1/18 wasn't many many collect (I collect since 10years), the models was sometimes horrible ! And much than 30$ ! I'm in france and the price are not like yours !

The Enzo yellow and black are not sell in France, We must buy in germany are other, and when they was imported and sold in shops they are about 50 to 60€, so 80$ !

The Whips aren't sold in France too, and the price are about 60€ EACH !

If cars was 15$ it will be famous !!!!!

I love the Kyosho, etc, but prices are 90€, HW are about 25 to 35€ for a 612 or a CS, a really difference !

So the actually 1/18 are famous, Do you have seen 355 by majorette ? 550 by Anson ? 348 By Mira ? F50 by Mira ? 288 by Tonka ? Don't see you should die !!!!

I think this F430 is beautiful, just the rims a little too much but I have seen real F430 and they are very big....

The situation here in Australia is that the common HW Ferrari models are available from K-Mart for $20? Maybe $15 US? Very cheap.

But the rarer models might be up to $60? $70?

eg. the yellow 550 Barchettas

Some HW models are excellent... eg. the 355 Spyders, 550/575 Maranellos.

I'll buy this 430 coupe and spyder but I guess it'll be costing me a bit more than USD$30 as well.

If you're referring to my post, they didn't have much a variety at Kmart. They had only black Enzos, blue 612s, Maser QPs, and silver Porsche GT3s.
