I think that you need to look again, I have seen an original Lusso in Maranello, and a 250 GT SWB at Ferrari Houston around May 2002, when in for routine maintenance. I have a website with Carlo Brianza Models which is correct in the 1/14 scale which start around 600+ euro.
Hi, here is are URL for 250 GT Lusso of Brianz at 1/18: http://w1.907.telia.com/~u90702792/listpage/lbrianza.html http://www.mdiecast.com/productinfo.php?model_id=4735 http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/browse18?c0=Manufacturer%3ABRIANZA+ (here with pictures) If you do not know the difference between 250 GT Lusso (or 250 GT/L) and 250 GT berlinetta short wheel base (SWB), go there: http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/by-serial-number/ferrari-by-serial-number/odd-serial-numbers/index-1000/odd-2001gt-2999gt-index/index.html There are plenty pictures. The 250 GT SWB was produced from 1959 (1st chassis #1539) to 1962 (last chassis #4037) and was oriented competition (74 chassis), but a street version existed in parallel (93 chassis). The 250 GT Lusso was built from 1963 (the proto chassis #3849 was built in 1962) to 1964 (last chassis 5955). The line is not the same: whereas the SWB is short, the Lusso is longer and more elegant... Best regards, Greg
