    Sounds like fun but I'm not as talented so a hand-held 3D laser scanner would be an alternative; use it on a full size car and then send it to a 3D printer.

    Perhaps you are correct. Just went to the Mattel site for close up renderings and there is a lot more modifications needed than I thought. By the time I got it right, Mattel would have released the real T model.

    3D scanner looks interesting though.

    Yes, and recently I have found a 3,2 model. I have seen lots of Mondial 8 but never 3,2 models.


    I bought my 1:18 scale Mondial 3,2 Coupé on eBay. Paid around 35 dollars. Made by Mattel Hot Wheels.

    Those are pretty nice and I have one too... just waiting for some free time to reverse the color scheme.

    You mean that you will paint the body and interior? I would like to repaint interior because my car is Red/tan, not Red/Black ...

    Snap! Same as mine, the best combo of course! I also have two electric Mondials 1:18, one remote one wired, a 1:25 poli and a metal 1:43 kit which I've never made up.

    I found the hotwheels Mondial 8 in the yellow my car is. It is a conversation starter in the office.
