The windshield is very diferent in both versions....not sure wich one is more acurate but the bbr seems more "real to me!..also the wheels look better on the bbr.....on the other hnad, the front side vent on the looksmart looks to be better placed...again the front looks a bit too long on the looksmart, the bbr seems to have it better shaped...

Please compare your models with photos of the real thing. The body of the restored car is a big mess. Front fenders, rear fenders, nose, windscreen... All is wrong. My opinion is that both models are wrong.

The scuderia shield should be a bit bigger and placed higher on the BBr, the windshield interior frame is too thick on the looksmart, although the shape look ok..tail pipes look rusty, not shinny as the looksmart..the arch over the real wheel looks much more acurate on the looksmart..anyone as got better pictures from trhe windshield?' i would like to see the frame and suports from the inside of the car?

I agree. Both are wrong. Too bad you can't combine the best of each, but even with that, there would still be issues.

It's always like this, parts are good on a model and others on another but not perfect model !
Most of the time, the chosen reference is the restored car (with its defects ...) but not the original photographs.

Yes, that is very true.....Except for two specialist low volume manufacturers that I know of. One of which is my model company, CMA Models. The other is Mini Delta.

Thank you for posting up a comparison. I've wondered how BBR and LookSmart compare as they seem to be going through a similar release schedule of models.

For this one, it does seem like both are off in their own ways but to be fair, the 1:1 car is a bit of a strange shape and is probably a challenge to get right.

But as far as fit and finish and details, they seem about the same, with maybe the BBR being slightly better.

The biggest difference between the models is the funny windshield frame. The Looksmart is more accurate with the hideous black frame. The BBR is less accurate with a more attractive silver frame.

In a rare instance I think I'd take attractive over accurate and I did.

I have the bbr on order but i guess i could still swap it for the looksmart...realy not sure about wich one will be more acurate...Marshall, what would be your call? (i no, none, but if you had to?:))

I think the looksmart as probably the better shape..the rear wheel arch is completly wrong on the bbr.....the windshield frame looks more correct also on the looksmart, but should be thinner and with the metal surronding like the bbr.....the front side vent is also better placed on the looksmart...but i'm pretty sure the bbr wheels are better, and overall the model "looks" more well finished...i'm sure they are both beautifull models, even with their flaws...but it's inadmissible the amount of mistakes such high end companys make...

Pedro this is a tough one - and I'm getting a headache with these two models. I think I'd buy both and put them in a blender!

LOLOLo...i could also trhow the cmf model to see if that one is could be used for something!!! but i doubt it!! Well, in that case i will probably stick to the BBr, the wheels look much nicer and overall it's that litle bit better finished...

Well, after several opinions and some very nice pictures "courtesy of Giotto" i was convinced the Looksmart (although with flaws) was clearly the better model. BBR screwed completly the interior, Looksmart was a lot closer, inside and outside. Fortunatly i was able to swap my order and i hope to get the model still this week...i'll post pictures upon arrival...

    Hi!
You may try the tr 59 (CMF) there are many mistakes but if you can fit them......

Thanks..i've seen the CMF but frankly i do think it has too many mistakes, and the car is similar to the 60 version that BBr will be releasing soon, so no need for both ( plus the 59 lost Lm to Aston, lololo).....Of course it looks better then the 330 tri they did, wich is in my opinion the worst model they ever did.....i like the 350 can am (but that one was made by TRL) and the 250mm looks pretty decent too.

    Hi, I have it and....:
-the engine is in the middle of the car; in the real car was little shifted on the left to have a better balance.
-the rear section is from '59 season and you need much work to have the '60.....
