Also from looksmart, another one i want, 166mm lm winner http://www.carmodel.com/tecnomodel/tm18-52b/1-18/ferrari/166mm-2-0l-v12-spider-team-peter-mitchell-thomson-n-22-winner-24h-le-mans-1949-l-chinetti-l-selsdson/113368
Mistakes and and many missing details.....again, and this is unfortunately the usual way with Tecnomodel and many other model makers. I am so disappointed with Tecnomodel. They choose great subject matter, but then only make their "models" a step or two above a cheap Burago toy. They just don't care about making models correct; all they seem to want to do is crank out as many models as possible, and make as much money as possible. Making money is all fine and good, but NOT the way they are trying to do it. If you are actually producing something you are selling as a "collectors item" to collectors then you damn well have a responsibility to produce something better than a toy, made in a similar way as if you were just making sausages by the thousands.
one thing i noticed was the missing parts (don't know the name in english) that go behind the rear wheel arches usualy to protect from trowing stones...i think the lm car had it, but not the others...still i have to wait fo the real pictures....i really want this car and there is no real alternative to it....except the hotwheels with decals...

Thanks Peter...i love the tdf livery (and was also the only option) but therev are several options for the 275 and this is by far my favourite one.
First GP Replicas, then Looksmart and now also Top Marques have all announed the F1 87/88. Let's see who makes the best replica.
Well, i want that car..but in 1/43 scale.....i'll probably end up buying a tameo already built from ebay...was hoping looksmart would release it...
You can get it from looksmart (aout 200/220) euros in closed resin body, or from hotwheels elite (in open die-cast). the second one will be hard to find...ebay is always a good bet
Nice to see CMF coming out with oddballs like this: http://www.modelcarworld.de/uk/CMF/214507/Modelcar-Ferrari-410-SuperAmerica-Scaglietti-Coupe-red-silver.htm

This Tecnomodel 166 MM Barchetta is NOT good. Very many mistakes and missing details - just wrong for this car. I know this one well....extensively researched and produced 1:14 limited edition many years ago. The cheap Hot Wheels Barchetta model is overall much better. Not correct for the Le Mans car, but is an overall better and more accurate 1:18 model of an early 166 MM Barchetta Lusso version.
Thanks Marshall, indeed it does look ruther crude, the 340 is afr more apealing and seems to be much more acurate..
My last purchase for 2017. Limited run of 54. Quite a bit above my usual limit for sealed bodied models but still a good deal compared to the usual crazy prices on Ebay. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great model, congrats on your purchase, a good way to end the year! and a belated Merry Christmas to you.
