I have gotten confirmation directly from Fronti-art that they will be releasing a full opening McLaren P1 later this year and that one of the many colors they will be seeking approval for from McLaren is Cerberus Pearl! They said they are confident they can realistically replicate the color on their model.

 

Does it come in red?

 

Anyone ordering this? I just ordered the 1:43 version, the 1:18 is a little to expensive for me right now but it is tempting.

Cant wait for this. I just picked up their 1:18 Lamborghini Aventador and Aston Martin One 77, both really nice models.

 

Me too! I may have to buy more than one depending on the colors they get approval for. I messaged CJ Wilson on a McLaren forum, told him about FA's plans and asked him to ok McLaren approving his CP color if asked. He told me what company made the paint (not MSO) which I passed onto FA to see if they can get a supply of the paint directly from them if McLaren oks the color.

Yes Pedro,I agree. The Disco Volante is a very impressive model. It and the McLaren are well detailed and appear to be Tecnomodel's best efforts. I am not a McLaren fan, but the model is really great.

Yes it is a little beauty. Very limited too with only 80 Blue models produced. But also available in Black, Red, and silver.

 

Have not seen the 365 P2 in person, but in photos it doesn't look very good.

Congratulations on the 250 LM purchase.

 

Since the real cars owner is in my area here are a few photos of it on display at the Geneva, Illinois concours I always attend. You can see more of his prototype showcar collection wich he stores on the northshore in the background.


On Tecnomodel, they do some great work, but also sometimes they really mess up there models. The Ferrari P5 looks very good.

Got an email about this BBR 250 Testa Rossa. I didn't know they were making customer Testa Rossas. In any case they are charging 217.50 euros plus VAT for preorder. This is the car Pedro Rodriguez drove in Nassau in 1958. It's the 1958 Le Mans winner with some body mods and new livery. 235.5 with display case. Limited to 100.

I'm tempted.

No. It's tempting, but I limit myself to World Sports Cars with a very occasional CanAm car. Otherwise I'd buy everything. Nice car though.

They are on sale at Carmodel since the 15th for those interested.
