Just missing the rims paint job! :)
By the way, i really want a 166mm lm winner, any ideas? The tecno was crap, the elite was decent but need several modifications, including a paint job and i'm not good enough for it, and i believe there are no other options....

Haven't followed this thread for a long time. Therefore sorry, if this has been mentioned before. GMP $300.00 fail: Image Unavailable, Please Login Best from Germany Martin
I have the sunoco version and i'm very happy with it. Apart from the ride height the model looks very nice in the metal.
The shape. CMR did a much better job. Before I quit collecting die-cast models it was all about the shape for me. Hidden details were not so important. But the whole subject is a mystery for me. Why are folks paying €1000.00 + for a CMC 250 California, which looks as if the makers had a Ferris Bueller replica as a pattern. Best Regards Martin
Sorry Martin but i disagree, the CMR is full of shape mistakes. the windshield is wrong, it should go below the door window not at the same level, the rear fender is all wrong, the arch shape and the way it ends. The only thing it is better than GMP is the stance. It's a nice model for the price, but it has too many obvious mistakes.
I just picked up the ACME/GMP 512M in red. The vendor and I were discussing the accuracy of models in general. Our conclusion is that there are no perfect models. If you like it, you buy it. For whatever reason. We also did a side by side comparison of the F1/88 by Looksmart and GP Replicas. There are a number of differences. Some features are better on one model, some on the other (details, size, paint, accuracy, stance etc). I already had a 512M by CMR. The ACME will be on display fully opened alongside the CMR. That's where for me the attraction of this model is.
I have only the 512M by CMR and I must say, it's not so bad for 60 euro. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree it's a bargain for the price..but it would have costed them the same to put the engine cover with the correct shape and teh windshield in the right place!
I have seen it. Crazy! But at least the CMC GTO looks right, while the 250 California looks completely wrong. I think, the sale of my whole 1:18 collection (except the two cars I own in 1:1) I'm currently busy with will fund the engine rebuild of my 308 Best Martin
Currently not. Every few weeks I get a special promotion offer from ebay. A max. seller fee of €3.00 or €5.00 no matter how much the sales price is. Each time I get this offer I auction some of my cars. Best from Germany Martin
By the way, Looksmart finaly released their 250p 1963.....don't care to compare it to the bbr, since i already have that one!
Sorry, I want to stick with ebay. For the reason I want to be honest. I don't want to rip-off FChat friends but on the other hand won't say no to those crazy prizes paid on ebay. Best from Germany Martin
Bought this one recently. By a company I've never heard of - Apycars. This is probably my favourite racing BB. Nathan Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
