The CMC Ferrari 250 GT California is one of my all time top 5 diecast models. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any word on a BBR 1/18 F1-75? Looksmart has released a few versions but I prefer the extra attention to detail on the BBR product.
It can't be bader than CMC or Tecnomodel mine is on the way Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Arrived yesterday. Very happy with it. The box it comes in is awful but the model is very nice and fills a gap in the collection. Very interested to hear what others think when theirs arrive. Looks very nice, but the body rivet detail is oversized, why not produce this without rivets , the CMC had oversized rivets as well and ruined the appearance.
the real car has rivets, better to big as no rivets as already said the box is awful the wiper could be done better as photo etched part instead of plastic why #19? I have seen the car in real I don´t see mistakes or any problems with the model really good for the price, today is 15% of at carmodel Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah I agree, not too fussed about the rivets, look better than the CMC version. And I don’t think you can do better for the price.
I have both versions of the CMC 312 P in open and closed roof, I personally think the models aren't too bad at all. I know they had some quality control issues with bonnet fit and the air intake but I was lucky enough to get two good examples. Prices today on CMC have gone crazy for their discontinued models, especially the Ferrari versions. You pay a good price for them at RRP but you will always at least get your money back should you decide to sell.
I have mine too, very happy, rivets ate the only issue, but i can overlook that...they look worse on the cmc. There are very nice small details, like the photoetchd parts for closing the engine hood, the "door handles", etc, even the seatbelts look nice. Shape , stance and details look good for the price, and the model is a stunner. As someone pointed out, box is garbage, but you don't need it!
I finally picked up my CMC Ferrari 275 GTB/C from the post office. I absolutely love it. Fault free from what I can see so far. I know there has been much talk and criticism over the past few months about this model but I for one am very proud to present it on its CMC display case and add it to my growing CMC collection. Though it certainly does appear to be the wrong shade of blue, I would caution everyone that colors in photos can be very misleading. Colors are always a good basic guide, but.... Please note, I am NOT a BBR fan, and they have made more bone headed mistakes than I can count over the years, but there is a strong possibility that this "Blue" color on their model might be darker and closer to correct when viewed in person. Best not to rely 100% on any internet photos for any exact color shade... I remember when Minichamps made their black 250 GTO, and claimed it was replicating a specific GTO, which it did not. They were too lazy to do any research, and only looked at internet photos of the very dark blue GTO who's S/N I don't recall at the moment. That GTO looked black in the photos they relied on, but it most definitely was not.
