Looking to expand my 1/18th Scale
    Ferrari Diecast collection. My question
to fellow FerrariChatters is this . . .

    Which manufacture is your favorite
    duplicating these beautiful cars ?

    HotWheels , UT , Bburago , AutoArt , or Who ?

Also, are the Mattel HotWheels "Elite"
    worth the extra money ?

Here are the cars that I am looking for :

    Ferrari 166
    Ferrari 250
    Ferrari 360
    Ferrari 430
    Ferrari Enzo

Of course, . . the color has to be Red exterior
with Tan Interior. If the interior is black, I guess
that I could make an exception.

Thanks again for everyone's help and input.

    Thank you, Tom in Tennessee

In 1:18, your choices are pretty limited. Some of the UT's are OK, but for the most part the best choice would be the Elite series from Mattel.

    Ferrari 166 - Hotwheels base
Ferrari 250 - Hotwheels base or Bburago
Ferrari 360 - Hotwheels base or Bburago
Ferrari 430 - Hotwheels base or Elite
Ferrari Enzo - Hotweels base, Hotwheels showcase, Hotwheels Elite, BBR (note the BBR is outstanding, but costs about 3 bills)

Which Ferrari 250 are you referring to?
    The once made are
250 Gt SWB... Joueff used to make them but they are not that great and hard to find since they seized production over a decade ago
...CMC of Germany makes a Red/tan one.You are looking at @250 but worth every penny.Real laced aluminum wheels, real leather interior, the wipers are metal and have rubber blades etc.
    250 Gt California Spider.
...Mattel made it somewhat dissent but never Red/Tan (but I can help you with this)You can find it for about $30 but only in burgundy (don't you guys dare call that Rosso Rubino)or something close Azure california.
...Polistil made one in red ages ago but I think it is more like 1:16 and I would not spend money on it.
    250 Lusso
...Mattel made it in Red/Tan and in my opinion it is one of the best models they ever made on their own.It is not Elite but it is just as good and it is not expensive.
    250 Testarossa
Both Bburago and Mattel made it and I believe they both made it in red. They are basically the same model but with different manufacturer's name on the bottom. Both are inexpensive and not very accurate.
250 GTO-All tree different body styles are made in 1:18
...Bburago and Mattel made the '62 in red.The Mattel's looks a little better from outside since it has the doors window's frames and "glass",but the Bburago's has the better engine (Mattel's v12 is the size of their 1:18 F430's V8)
..Joueff (later Eagle's Race)made the long roof version and it pretty detailed but it is not the best finished product. At least a repaint is recommended. It is also hard to find and it can get pricey.
...Guiloy made the '64 with the spoiler on the roof.At first glance it is a crude model, but very base for an outstanding replica if you do the extra work.It is not expensive but kind of hard to find and it comes in bunch of colors as well as purple!Go figure.
    250LM
Again made from both Bburago and Mattel but basically the same exact model with different branding. Both made them in red.Easy to find, cheap and really great if you detail it with some TLC.
I hope I was of any help to anyone.
    Best regards
    Michael
