    Hi all,

I have this 1:43 model made by Record (France) of the 275 GTS. It's a nice little model, not BBR quality (it was ready built when I bought it and needed some TLC and the paint is a bit flat but otherwise nice). Someone has asked me if it was for sale and has offered 30-40 euro. Now I wasn't planning on selling it, but the offer has made me curious: what's it worth? I don't have any info on Record nor do I know of any other 1:43 models of the 275 GTS (but i'm sure there are).

I'll post a picture of the model tonight. Opinions most welcome.

Ok, so the very precise estimate for this model would be something between 30 and 1 million dollars...thanks! ;-)

(or do you mean to say that the dollar has depreciated that much against the euro?!)

@Roel: I've searched Ebay, only came up with 275 GTs models by FDS. 30-40 euro is rather low in my opinion too.

I think the model is worth around $100-$125 US. Quality is good, but not great, and the model is rather rare.

Hate to be picky folks, but is that not a 330 GTS in the photos?

The 330 GTS indeed looks a lot like the 275 GTS, except for the nose. The 330 nose is much more like a 365 GT 2+2. This model is a 275 (another difference is the crease on the bonnet: 330s don't have this crease).

It's hard to value it, because it's an older model. Nowadays the same level of detail would cost considerably less than when this model was built and sold. But on the other hand, Record has a good name and of course by now this model is rarer to find. So it's a bit of a guess, but I definitely think it's worth more than 30 to 40 euros. I would say double.

The model looks nice, allthough I feel the windscreen should be a little bit higher and a little more upright. It is obviously a model of high buildquality and the car in itself (a 275 GTS) are less likely to find. If I were to buy this car for 40 euro, I would consider that a mighty good deal. Anything beyond double that amount would be a fair price for both parties.
