i just got an Old Cars 77000 F1 Transporter. Does anyone know what years, Ferrari actually used this transporter?
The Old Cars site says 1980s but I was wondering which year specifically. Or did they actually use it for 10 years?

    Thanks.

The manufacturer's own web site refers to it specifically as a 1980 transporter and states that in that year the car was the 312T5. This is not to say that it was not used after 1980 as I have no idea if it was or wasn't.

Looking at the side decals (Good Year) it is certainly an after 1984 trailer .
Until 1984 the tyres of F1 Ferrari were Michelin so the side decals must be the same .
I own some photos I've taken in Maranello courtyard in 1981 and the two trailers were a little bit different from the model .
So looking also at the license plate (MO 651945) it really seems a trailer of the secon half of '80.
The manufacturer description of item 77000 is not exact. Nothing to do with 312T5 and Scheckter.

    Ciao

    Andrea

Actually, starting with the 126C2 of 1982, they were on GoodYears.

The description in Italian says "80's transporter", so not necessarily 1980.

From the Weber logo, I would guess it's after they started using using the Weber-Marelli injection system, so around 1984 or 1985.

Also, the Iveco Turbo-Star debuted in 1984 (according to Wiki).

Another clue is the Gould sponsorship. The cars only carried this sponsorship in 1984 and 1985.

Thanks - now I'm off to find the 1984 or 1985 cars!
