    As a member of this forum once said about his own work "no shortcuts". Below is the Tameo based F2007 from Brazil [and one from Spain] in it's pre assembly phase. Once the front and rear suspension assemblies[a total of 35 individual pieces] are painted final assembly will commence [tonight]. In addition each chassis and body consist of anywhere from 8-15 pieces each as a sub assembly and once it is all mated additional detail parts will be added like the steering and seatbelt assemblies, carbon fiber details, etc. I am looking at 2 more days minimum to complete.

    This is a good time to consider why hand built models are more expensive than die cast [and at times not perfect]. Just look at the spread on my work bench for just 5 models, 4 of which are modified from the original kit.
