I know this is not a ferrari but i thought some of you might want to see it. It took me almost 15 months to build it. It has a bore and stroke of 5/8 inch. It displaces 1.5 cubic inch or 25cc. It runs on unleaded gas and 10% WD40.

    This is very cool!
Is this a hobby of yours?
Will you put the engine in a usable RC car?
Great job and I love the way it sounds, especially with those straight headers!

Yes it is my hobby. I have been at it for about 5 years now.

No it wont go into an RC car. The cars available aren't built for something like this. I would have to build a custom frame and everything from the ground up.

Guy's have been doing this for a long time. Not many V8's out there this small, I thought some of the guy's around here would get a kick out of it. Most build 1/4 scale or bigger.

  9. That is really amazing.

I have seen a few if these here and there, they had one on display at a hobby shop I used to go to about 8 years ago. I never saw it run, but it was built to scale with rods, piston rings etc.

I have always been fascinated wuth these small engines, and is one of "those things" I would blow my money on if i could

Did you machine all the parts yourself? I have heard rumors of kits available ti build these but never had any solid info

I build highly detailed plastic model cars, but this is the ultimate in modeling, if you could even call it that.

There is an RC car that this would go in, but the car is as detailed as the engine and costs as much as a new economy car. I dotn rememberif the car is 1/5 or 1/4 I will try and find the video

    Extremely badass

I made everything except the bearings, springs, and screws.

I have never seen or even heard of a kit for anything like this.

Thanks. I'm working on another one that will have a 671 roots blower on it.
