1/8 Ferrari engine transkit for ARNO XI hydroplane

Hello all. I am selling a Leggenda e Passione white metal transkit for the fantastic Amati 1/8 model of the 1950's ARNO XI hydroplane.

I'm sure if you are looking at this then you are well aware of the quality and sheer weight of this model.
This was distributed in Europe by Autographmodel and in the US by Brady Ward at Scaleautoworks.

You may know that neither of these agents has any stock anymore, and production is finished, so this is a rare bird. I wish I could keep it, but common sense tells me that I have too many projects and not enough time to do it justice, so it should go.

The kit has barely been started by the previous owner, and the work is to a high standard, you can see all that has been done in the photos, which is the attachment of the heads to the block, and the sump pan to one end casting of the engine.

The ONLY part I cannot locate is a small hose fitting in the last picture (with a £1 coin for scale). To be honest, it would look much better as a fabricated part rather than a white metal casting, and anyone contemplating this kit could certainly make it with no problems at all.

Other than that, the kit is in super condition and will build to fantastic finished model.
I will gladly post to overseas bidders, (I am in the UK) but due to the value of the kit and for peace of mind for both myself and the new owner, I will only send via a tracked and insured service.

Asking price is £550 plus shipping.

I also have an untouched MIB Amati ARNO XI kit ( the traditionally planked one )
for which I am asking £250 plus shipping - It's a big box, so this might be relatively expensive.


I can combine the 2 kits together for £750 with shipping on top if anyone would like both.
