Pocher Kits were the top of the line. Now discontinued.

I kick myself in the a** every time I see one of those.
    Why you ask?
Several years ago, I went into a second hand store in the middle of nowhere. Thay had bought a bunch of stuff at an estate auction and had it in the store for sale. Clothing and furniture mostly, but there was one of those unassembled, and still factory sealed for sale. I di not buy it because I did not have the money on me then. Want to know how much they were asking? Are you ready for this? $20. Twenty U.S. Dollars.

See why I kick my own a**?

I live near Lingfield... there's a well know racecourse (horses!) just up the road. I spend most of my time on the UK forum where we regularly have drive outs around the Surrey hills. If you're over this side of the water let us know!

Thanks everyone for your advice on the model!

Looks like you got a nice deal. The only problem i have with these Pochers is their ride height. They must be very heavy as they always appear to "sqwat" too much. Probably correctable though. Enjoy your new model!

Yes, they are heavy at 13lbs. The weight tends to compress the suspension. It would be nice to install a real suspension to better hand the weight.

I used to live in Claygate, near Esher (still have a house there) and visit family about twice a year.

Advice? Don't break it, it'll be worth a lot in the future.

I know Claygate and Esher well. You did well to keep a house there... prices have gone mad over the last 5 years!

I'll ok after the model like I look after my car!

    Look at my Testarossa.
it's an european 1985 (one-mirror model) with the REAL Ferrari Rosso Corsa (I don't joke)
I had a BIG work on suspensions but look now : the car didn't look stamped on the wheels !!
    What do you think ??

    Ciao !

Whatever you did to the suspension has worked very well! What did you do?

I picked up my car today and it looks fantastic. The only fault is that a part of the chrome Ferrari name on the engine cover is missing BUT.... when I mentioned this to the seller he searched among some boxes and came up with another 1/8 Ferrari model which he said he had just found. He told me to take this too and swap the badges then let him have the other one back! What a guy!

The second model is of a Testarossa spyder in white. Personally I don't like the look much and its not in quite such perfect condition but the seller told me to swap any bits I like and then if I know anyone interested I can sell it for him, otherwise just let him have it back!

If anyone is desperate for that particular 1/8 Pocher model just let me know?
