You have 8 posts total... 3 of your posts - You spamed this thread in Texas, LamborghiniChat.com, and Classic. What this has to do with anything on FerrariChat.com I don't know. 2 of your posts - Advertising your Porsche Dyno Day. No big deal, but I see a selfish pattern here. 1 other post selling another Porsche. 1 post looking for an exhaust bypass valve "If anyone has one they'd like to sell, please email me as I don't get a chance to post much." ...except when trying to sell something or advertise an event. 1 decent post trying to get exotic cars out to another event. --- Simple question... What value do you add to FerrariChat.com?
No thanks 2 trips to Austin last year, was enough for me. I only make the 2 yearly trips to Houston to see my family and some cool F chatters. Aside from Dallas, no thank you on Tejas for me.
I knew I would get **** about it, but that is my right! One of the first times I've ever abused that right. Next will be if I have to sell a Ferrari.
I was born in Austin! Best city in Texas except for 'em Democrats. Wait a second, Austin is the best city in Texas and it is overrun with liberal - environmentalist - hippie - Democrats! Hmm, are all my political beliefs messed up? Has Austin found "the way"?
Steve it was meant as a joke. I am sorry that didn't come across as my post. Its a fun city, but as people on F chat knew about my trip last year, it was hot and humid. That is all I meant If I lighten up anymore, I would need to start drinking to calm me down
Ok, Mark's been banned for three days and I've reinstated his account with the understanding that the forums are not used for advertisement.
Guys, I know Mark. He did not mean to Offend anyone just did not read the rules I'm sure. Rob, Wayne, I'll stick my neck out and say this is a bit harsh and uncalled for.............He is a huge car enthusiast who "really" wants a Ferrari but at least has a hot rod Porsche. He comes to most all of the Austin Ferrari club events that are open to non members just to check out the rides because he loves them. BUT, he's also a Porsche nut and therefore why he's so gung ho about this DP. He actually called me at my shop to find out what I thought of the car as he knew I'd had my hands on it. He wasn't trying to sell it to me, he was just in awe. I really think, but I could be wrong though, that he was not pointing it out on EBAY as an advertisement but "hey guys check this sh.....t out!" As far as advertisement for the DYNO Days, that was a Porsche Club event that raised ZERO money for Mark. He was just in charge (event coordinator) and trying to get a big turnout and wanted to INVITE the Ferrari's to come play. Hill Country chapter Ferrari Club and Hill Country Region Porsche club invite each other to damn near every event and do stuff together all the time. Ask Dave Scott. So that in NO way should be a strike against him. Trying to find a part for a car, well, he should have done that in the parts section, but is there any real harm????? WTF???? He's trying to fix his freak'n car not try to sell you some bogus freakn' gadget you don't need for your FCar????????? Now if there is any CITY bashing out there, I WILL take serious offense to the bashing of A-town, the town I grew up in and still hang my hat. I could make more money having my race shop in LA or SF or NY or any of the big cities on the east or west coast. I choose to live here because it is a way of life. The only place that has the same eclectic feel and where the people where flip flops and Tshirts 360 days of the year regardless of their job titles to me is San Fran. So peace brethren.....get off Mark's case and go have fun bashing Rolm. d
Ryan, no problem, I will accept that your comment was just in fun. As for Mark, I would say if David Moore says the guy meant no harm I would vote give him another shot.
I wasn't being overly harsh I thought. Another mod banned him, I was just pointing his "stats" out. Users that participate and contribute to the community can get away with stuff like that, but users that just register to advertise their events and cars, with no intention to be "part of the community" are suspect.
Hi Rob, I hear you, you are right. CONTRIBUTE MARK my friend and you will be justly rewarded...........;-) Rob......speaking of advertising....remember my email to you? BTW, you guys do a great job keeping this site about "Ferrari' subject matter. The local Porsche club has a site and it absolutely "SUCKS" as far as that's concerned....I give it zero attention now because they don't talk about cars 90% of the time. d
I don't remember your email, but if you sent me one, I usually respond. PM or email again if something you want to talk about. Thanks.
Besides, Ryan hasn't met either Cielo or David Moore's significant others yet!! Couldn't resist...TX is my adopted home, Hill Country is great. Where else can you run a Maranello tank dry at or above 100 safely. You'll see about 7-8 cars, 4 deer, and lots of scenery, albeit blurry. Like Angeles crest highway, Palomar Mtn. area. And good tracks fairly close. Keep up the good work, Ryan, we don't want anymore people here Cielo, we should get together sometime. I just jettisoned my Z8, but the shark is still here. Sadly I never have time or coverage to get to many events up in AUS. Image Unavailable, Please Login
