Wonder where he got the 77 for number of gated 575Ms in the US? Would have thought it was smaller than that.

It is bc that would be 15% or so of the originally shipped ones and I thought it was closer to 10% from your spreadsheets. Taz have you ever seen how many have been wrecked on on this site

    http://www.wreckedexotics.com/search?q=Ferrari+575M

Im curious how many still exist in the US today

Looking at all that carnage, it's a wonder there are any left ?
It reminds me of a friend who went to a track for a days high performance driving instruction.
The instructor said later......''he was no ----ing good at 8.30 this morning; and he was still no ----ing good at 5 o'clock.''

Just goes to show, you can't just hop into these cars and let rip...…..they bite back.

Perfect spec. Should bring a good price. Though I do wonder what the "MINOR_ISSUE" is under accident history.

There was a red stick with a better spec for sale for a long time at gull wing with 25k miles or so for $275k for a long time. I’m not sure if it’s still there, this is the first I’ve seen on eBay for a while so let’s see what she does I’m gonna guess $235k

From the listing: "Excellent condition with service records from day 1. One of the cleanest 575 M out there"

Note sure I would agree with those statements.

Haha the odds aren't in the favor a no wrecks 575, look at the wreckedexotics link i posted above, a few have gone down in the line of duty. Dave how do wrecks affect value down the road with rare classic Ferraris. Is it the same as with regular cars value wise or is the gap tighter, i mean there's 77 of these

Structural damage! That's more than a parking dent. I think a lot of potential buyers will just keep on looking. I doubt it will sell, unless price is very low. Why would you buy a car with structural damage when you can buy one without? Maybe if were a NART Spider but a 575...narrows the purchaser pool down a lot, as I imagine does ebay.

There are several multi-million dollar classic Ferraris that have been in accidents, some of which technically totaled the car. They've been restored to the point that the damage is undetectable, and it does not diminish the value of those cars (Many of them have fabricated replacement parts as well). The 575 has not reached that status as a collectable yet, so here we are debating the effect of the "structural damage" on the value of this car. But it bears keeping in mind that with the application of enough money and expertise, any wrecked Ferrari can be brought back to a state of perfection. Even better than new ("Over restoring" is an actual thing). It then becomes a question of whether or not it is economically viable to do so. With a '62 250 GTO the answer is definitely yes, for the still lowly 575M sadly not, and probably not for a while yet. But if I found that unique spec I had to have on a car with, say, a rebuilt driver's side front suspension due to a parking lot collision, I would gladly take the discount and enjoy the car.

I would have to know the exact extent of the damage to this car, but given its rarity, I might then just go ahead and buy it if the damage was accounted for in the price. Since this is an auction, every potential buyer can make that decision for himself.

I have a feeling this is the converted 575 that was on eBay last year.
There is a thread in that car on this site someplace.

Yes, I think we are in agreement. And I wouldn't buy a manual 575 with structural damage unless I was desperate and needed a big discount; at which point I would wonder whether a 550 without structural damage was a better bet (or ponying up more for a 575 without structural damage, however expertly repaired). Breathing down the neck of any manual 575 are the 3083 manufactured 550s, all of which are manual. That's why I think this particular car is a hard sell, and always will be, which is what any purchaser is going to take into account.

The two conversions I have listed, one of which was on E-Bay recently, are 129439 and 129483. Not sure about this one.

Incidentally, that wrecked exotic website has 575Ms, 550s, and Superamericas all mixed together and called 575Ms, so not sure how much I would trust their numbers. For me, not much.

Even if it is real, how could you value this thing ?

I’d go with 100K, give or take 10K

The seller should be better informed and/or transparent.

the guy has an ebay rating of 0 and isn't telling the whole story about the car, i think its best to probably move on if you're considering it
