It could be the clutch is not quite disengaging all the way and needs adjustment if it's an older car with a cable. How low does it feel like it is grabbing when you let the pedal out? What model is it?

thanks for the reply, it happens , or is hard to get in to 1st gear after it is warmed up...strange... and its also tuff going into 2nd gear, as well...but sometimes(rarely) it goes right in to 1st........i hope its not the transmission, but, BoardWalk says that if it was the transmission, it would not go into 1st at all...hopefully there right....what do you think...its a 99 360..with 18500 miles

Did they bleed the clutch properly? I actually just had this happen to me a few weekends ago replacing a clutch and flywheel on a friends 350Z. If the clutch is not properly bled then it will not disengage the whole way causing it to not go into gear.

Another thing to check is that they adjusted your clutch pedal correctly once the new clutch was installed. If they had adjusted it in the past as your old clutch wore aware you might not have enough travel in the pedal to disengage it as well.

Curious - how long was it from the time you picked the car up to when you first noticed the issue?

I wonder how a Ferrari dealer could do such a repair and not test it out completely.

    Pitch,
Please fill in your profile, at least with the year & model of your car. Otherwise you'll get a lot of non-applicable advice.

Sounds like good advice to me, bring it back and tell them to test drive it after they think they have fixed it correctly.
