Yes, full interior which is 100 pounds and I am not light 265 lbs. If I lost 100 and removed the rear and front seat I would run a high 9 easy. Those things won’t happen, LOL. We have a couple Hellcat forum members that have run high 9’s. Skinny little *******!
I am still amazed a stock vehicle is turning times like that. Back in the day, the Super Stockers weren't running that quick. Well done. I cannot wait to get a Dallas f/chat bunch out to the drag strip to run my new Hellcat Charger.
Back in the 80’s I had a Camaro IROC-Z and it ran like a 15.6 and I thought it was fast. At the drag strip if a car ran 12’s it was tubbed out and trailered to the track. Amazing times we live in!
Looks like the war is starting up between these two: The ZR1 ran 10.2 at 137mph in this run. I agree that we are living in amazing times.
That Demon looked like he was a little off on that run but still, what a car both of these are. Demon is already collectible because there are no more to be made. I think the M7 ZR1 will be the car to have down the road.
Ok full disclosure. Just learned youtube video had drag radials to compare to the tires the Demon had. Here is a 100% stock run: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7-zr1-discussion/4133249-2019-zr1-stock-tire-record-run-at-richmond-dragway.html
Yeah he probably was running the Nitto Drag Radials that come with the Demon. I could not hook up a tthe track with those my best 60ft was 1.98. Switched to the Mickey ET Street R and got my 1.42 60ft and 10.06 1/4 mile time.
Here is something I find very interesting. The new ZR1 stock has a 10.36sec at 133.x mph. The C6ZR1 best stock time was 10.66sec at 132.9mph. The mph are damn near the same given the 117hp difference. And to add fuel to the fire the C6ZR1 drag radial time is 10.26 at 135.35mph. Take a look at the list here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-corvette-zr1-and-z06/2808968-the-c6-zr1-1-4-mile-and-standing-mile-fast-list.html
Buddyg, I apologize for putting the ZR1 info in your thread. Was just throwing it out there now that both cars are starting to show up at the track. Last post from me on the topic. I have to say I am NOT impressed with the ZR1 times. Just found where the same driver of the ZR1 has the almost exact same times and mph with the Z06: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7-z06-discussion/4019605-c7z06-fast-list.htm What gives?
