7 More spots have opened up to us! NOTE: I will be out of pocket from this afternoon until Sept 20th, so please send me PM or e-mail at [email protected] if you are interested in attending this event. I will respond ASAP and all request will be process per the timestamp on messages. S
Jennie is registered! I see they will have other member sessions too, so possible I might bring the 355 Challenge to offer rides between Steve's sessions.
Who can pass up the chance to be driven around the track by none other than the "Chuck Norris" of the Ferrari World, Rob Lay ???? That's worth the price of admission alone!!! S
Yikes! I'm up for a ride along if you're offering. Will be good to see how a savvy vet attacks the MSR. Have only been to MSR once, for a PCA DE. I'll be there with my Cali...T
I'm not sure what's up yet. Jennie has entered and never drove the track herself. I WILL NOT BE COACHING HER! I have a membership and will be in the membership group with the 355 Challenge hopefully. If Steve is needing more right seat "coaches" I can certainly help. My last year racing was 2011 and when I finish something, I'm DONE! I only got the 355 Challenge back out this spring in an attempt to kill Shawn (same as when I take him hunting or boating), so a little rusty. Luckily I can still talk like I know the lines and fast.
Here are my 1.7 lines. Remember I came from 110 HP RX7 all momentum and you tried not to use more track than you had to. This lap just under 1:20, my PB was just under 1:19 which isn't very fast anymore. A few notes: End of front straight up into rattlesnake I believe in the "Keith Verges" line come in mid-track, you don't need to start far left as traditional. Middle of track has camber working with you and it is hard braking into rattlesnake. That line allows you to brake later and deeper. Wagon wheel not sure if higher HP cars do better tracking all the way out to edge, but you notice I just go half out and that may be bad habit from RX7 days. Little Bend has always been my worse corner! I give up first left Boot Hill in order to be full throttle and carry extra speed through important back straight - Big Bend - front straight.
