Hello all I recently set out on a 10 day trip in my new Lusso. I purchased the car from Florida Ft Lauderdale and had it trucked to So Cal. I drove to Las Vegas and met my son who flew in for the weekend. I then drove to Salt Lake City to pick up my wife at the airport. We had a wonderful time hiking the National Parks in Utah. After I dropped her off back in Salt Lake I headed home via Nevada. 3 thousand miles of open road with that amazing V12. What a journey. I encountered snow, temps in the teens and a few dirt roads and the car performed like a champion. I purchased a 2017 F12 new and put 20K miles over 4 years and I can say that the Lusso is much more comfortable, usable and every bit as fun to drive. The car is more civilized than the F12 (braking, noise, seats, room). The F12 was a blast and felt much more like a race car than the Lusso. I never had an issue w the F12 (other than a blown tire in Louisiana). The car had to be trucked back to Houston because I couldn’t find a tire in the entire state of Louisiana. I rented a Toyota and made it to Florida w/o the F12. No parade for me but enjoyed the show. Back to the Lusso. When I arrived back home w a very dirty Lusso I filled her up w gas a few miles from my house. When I started her up the manettino failed (went to WET) and the E Diff light came on. I limped the car back home. After I washed her , I started her up and the error message was gone. I just have a feeling this is going to come back and be an issue. I’ll keep you guys updated Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Time to change battery? Usual suspect is battery and since car is a few years old and we don’t know how battery was maintained, I would go change it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I purchased the car certified from Ferrari and they changed the battery. I purchased the warranty for $6,500 so they’re on the hook. What I don’t want to do is replace the PTU w the same faulty part and have this issue again. I hope Ferrari will have a fix for me. We’ll see
Hello all, Planning another trip in the Lusso and want to replace the battery to be safe. In the past I have always had the dealership do this. Time is becoming an issue and want to know if anyone has experienced a problem w someone replacing the battery other than the dealership?
If you’re vaguely handy then replacing it yourself is also an option. Tutorials are on FChat. I’ve changed mine three times and the 4th change is due soon.
I just had my 3rd installed in my 2016 FF - the batteries does not like the heat from the V12 after long distance driving....
