Where I live all the gas contains at least 10% ethanol. I have been a loyal Shell premium buyer, 93 octane, no problems, car runs great. But once I get 50 miles away, name brand 91 octane premium without ethanol is available. Is one better than the other for my 456M?

who would not kill to get non ethanol gas? The Ethanol crap cost us thousands of dollars destroying our cars. It is so bad that the gov does not allow it in private airplanes for fear of causing failures.

Check your zip code at puregas.org for stations close to you with non ethanol fuels.

Ethanol eats rubber. Just more green ecology crap gone wrong. More energy to grow corn, make ethanol than just to make gasoline of which there is a surplus. Just like wind power in North America.

If I had non ethanol gas within 50 miles my boats, motorcycles, lawn equipment, and old Ferrari would get nothing but that.

Have been using 90 Octane non ethanol for years with no issues on all that runs on gasoline, and in particular, the cars. People have been brainwashed into thinking pure gasoline is bad for your engine. hahahaha And now they want to change it to E15 (15% ethanol) to get rid of all old cars that will not run on that.

Adding to my post above. Non ethanol fuels can also be found at local race tracks, high performance automotive shops which will sell it in 5 gal. cans or pump it, and at local airports you may find usuable fuel but won't be able to pump straight into your car. None of it is as cheap as your local gas pump at least initially.
If the older vehicle or motor is used frequently you can get away with the ethanol but not usually if its occasional or infrequent use. There are additives available to neutralize the ethanol but not familiar.

I would take 93 octane 10% ethanol over 91 octane and no ethanol, personally.

I have No ETOH at various places near by. When etoh gas sits it has a tendency to pick up moisture. Shelf life w/o stabilizer is around 90 days. So I fill up with no etoh whenever I can. I don't bother to use it in daily drivers because a tank gets used up in a week or two. BTW No etoh makes my tractor, chain saw, blower etc run like they have new more powerful motors compared to running on etoh gas. GTS Bruce

Be very careful with racing fuels and fuel found at airports. Aviation gas (Av-gas) is low lead and most racing fuels also have lead as an additive. You must not burn leaded gas with cats. It will destroy them.

The car will adjust for the lower octane. If it knocks, then stay with 93 E10.

I'd stay away from ethanol blend fuel if at all possible. Maintenance records for my 550 show that its fuel system was rebuilt in 2008 after the engine quit running, due to deterioration of fuel system components presumably due to use of ethanol blend fuel. These cars just weren't built for running ethanol.

Fortunately still have non-ethanol 91 octane widely available here in Omaha and I've been running it with no issues whatsoever.

You should be able to get 100% regular or premium gas most anywhere in WI. We have our choice of either in the western part of the state. 100% premium only most everywhere in MN.
Regular goes in the Pantera, boats, tractors, and lawnmowers. Premium in the V12 cars and ATVs. I do sometimes add a few gallons of race gas on top of the premium in the Cobra, as it tends to run on - even with 91 or 92 octane. No noticeable knock though.

Jose is correct remove airports from the list, my apologies. Most offer low lead fuels.

Regarding high performance automotive shops, it's not difficult to find 98-100 octane unleaded ethanol free fuels at least in our area.
Marina's are another source of ethanol free pump gas.
