How Many Miles Do You Have On Your 360?
A 360 currently on ebay has 49k, its from California. Thats the most miles I have seen on one yet. I have heard of 80k but not seen it yet.
There was one for sale in the land down under(aust) with 60,000km not that long ago, suprisingly the asking price was only about 10k less than equivilant year/condition cars with normal milage.
My old 99 Euro had about 44kilo on her when I sold her here in Portland to a buddy. He has since put 11 miles on it in 7 months. I imagine the clock is somewhere arounf 60-70kilo now. Also a guy traded in a yellow US spider to my local dealer ( RTGT) a couple years ago that had 70,000 miles on it! These V8's are bullet proof as long as you do the work on them and keep them up to date. Mike
About three years ago a F355 Berlinetta was sold here in Switzerland for as little as 45,000 US$. The reason? The car had done 111,000 Kms (70,000 miles). Everything was original apart from clutch, exhaust manifolds and wheel bearings, but I suspect it would have needed new valve guides before long. Another F355 with beautiful red/black racing buckets and Fiorano package was for sale in Germany with 120,000 Kms (75,000 miles). It looked absolutely beautiful and the engine had not been touched yet (although it did have a full Tubi exhaust including manifolds - the originals would never have survived so long). Not a V8, but I've also seen a few 550s with more than 60,000 miles in Europe. The highest (not for sale) belonged to an Italian businessman, it had clocked up 180,000 Kms (112,500 miles!!!!) in 5 years when I saw it being serviced in Modena two years ago. According to the mechanic the car had always been running fine, needing only two clutches and a valve seat job at 100,000 miles. The mechanic reckoned it could do 150,000 miles before the engine would come out for a total rebuild. Was this estimate optimistic? Anyone reached 150,000 miles on an original Ferrari engine?
There was an azzuro spider for sale with 80k on it a few years ago. Brought strong money ~$125k if I remember correctly.
My 2000 360 F1 has done 65.000 km and has had two clutches and the usual belt changes, still in concours condition and goes better than new, just run in I reckon. Gets plenty of track time, but also plenty of TLC. A friend here has a 84 Mondial with 250.000 km still on the original engine. It must be the weather here.
I'm the guy that purchased $$$=SPEED's 360. It has 66kilo on the clock now. If you buy them, drive them!
the GDC (www.gothamdreamcars.com) 360 Modena had something like 95,000 miles on it before it burnt to the ground in August.
I voted for 25,001 -50,000, but that is actually my dads car. Just got it back a little over a week ago from its 30k service... Apparently it is running amazingly. I definitely feel that the more you run Ferraris, the better they run. After the first few thousand dad put on it after we got it, I think it has actually been back to the shop less then my trailblazer has since then for unscheduled maintenance... amazing.
Was extremely close to a big milestone before the Ferrari got put away for the winter. It's a DD all throughout the spring and summer so you can probably imagine it's high mileaged. I'll be sure to post here when I hit it.
mine has 73k on it , it just gets better and better the more I drive it !! These people with 1 mile on their cars don't deserve the car at all , You bought it so drive it your doing more harm than good not driving it !! heres a little pic of mine when its dirty Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
