Maybe the antichambre of heaven. Watch a GP on ITV and you'll notice the difference. F1 on Speed could be so much better. But I won't complain.
With the dumbing down of F1 next year and in the years to follow, where's the joy and excitement ? One set of tires a race next year and V8's and rev limited V10's to follow thereafter, I've dumped the extra package I pay for Speed. F1 is going to lose alot more than a second or 2 a lap IMHO. Do you prefer the name "100 days till nothing happens?" Some of us are excited about the new season of F1. Who knows it might be even better... Thats why we love F1. It's the top of the game, the best of the best. Cheers George. Plus: even though they are going less power (like when they took out the turbos back in the 70's) still its going to be a challenge to build a great car with so many limitations, and its going to be fun to see them come up with different strategys and technologies.
just on a point of interest, has anyone researched the times for say over the last 20 years at a track that hasn't changed shape so that we can see if there has been any dip in performance with all the rules changes that have happened over that time ? I'm sure there has been a dip in times as certain rules would have had a huge effect on the performance (no turbos, no slicks, etc) but on the whole I'm sure the current times are far faster than say even 10 years ago.
Im not sure about the times, but i do know that during the turbo era engines could output like 1200hp..........and these V10 are almost reaching 1000hp (at least toyota says they fired one up with that power). So it's safe to say that the performance and power has advanced at a fast pace. Cheers George.
Theoretically next year if MS and Kimi bump into each other hard enough to get too injured to continue on through the season. On his own: Probably never. He can't overcome neither MS nor Kimi and by the time MS retires, Alonso will be his next obstacle.
Thank you for keeping count VROOM. but I think your a little too fast. Im guiding my self from F1.com, and rite now it says 97 days, BUT either way..... 97 bottles of beer on the wall 97 bottles of beer VROOM takes one down, chugs it down. 96 days till scuderia kicks ass.... CHEERS George.
Nothing to be excited about... unless......................................... .................................................................................................... .................................................................................................... .................................................................................................... ........................Mika Hagginen is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I recall the last I saw regarding Mika Hakkinen was that he would be driving a DTM car. Not long ago we saw Mika Salo on Speed Channel driving a Maserati. And so the countdown continues . . . . . . Melbourne . . . . . .only . . . 95 days 18 hours 46 minutes 20 seconds Carol
If Mika Hagginen is back, then it will not be a sport............................ ................................................................................................ ................................................................................................ ................................................................................................' ............................................................................................... ...............................................
